Biluochun tea is reported to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, while its effect on liver disease remains unknown. In this study, a CCl-induced acute liver injury mouse model with five experimental groups (normal control group, CCl group, low-dose Biluochun tea group, high-dose Biluochun tea group, and silymarin positive control group) were established to evaluate the hepatoprotective effects of Biluochun bioactive extract. Furthermore, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was utilized for qualitative analysis of the major bioactive components in the extract.

Glioblastoma (GBM), the most aggressive primary brain tumor, remains a challenge for immunotherapies, like immune checkpoint blockade (ICB), due to the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME) deficient in cytotoxic T-cells and effective T-cell-dendritic cell (DC) interactions. Herein, we engineer a biomimetic nanoplatform comprising paclitaxel (PTX) nanoparticles (NPs) encapsulated in a tumor-associated antigen-loaded DC membrane modified with ICB antibodies. The DC membrane not only facilitates BBB penetration and GBM targeting but also directly engages with T-cells reminiscent of T-cell-antigen-presenting cell (APC) clusters.

Objective: To explore the hub genes associated with the pathogenesis and healing of diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) and their biological functions through bioinformatics analysis of transcriptome sequencing data.

Methods: The transcriptome sequencing datasets of DFU were selected from Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database, and the data were regrouped and normalized for bioinformatics analysis. The skin transcriptome sequencing datasets of DFU patients were compared with those of normal controls and the transcriptome sequencing datasets of skin from ulcerous wound edge of DFU patients were compared with those of non-ulcerous skin of DFU patients so that differentially expressed genes were identified, pathway enrichment and protein-to-protein interaction (PPI) analyses were performed, hub genes were found through nodal analysis, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was applied to a testing dataset to validate the diagnostic efficiency of the hub genes related to DFU.

Background: With the pandemic of COVID, the public are faced with tremendous threatens both physically and mentally. Postpartum depression (PPD) is one of the most serious complications of childbearing, bringing severe impact on a woman's mental state and mood after birth. Research has shown that maternal mental state is closely correlated with PPD, those undergo the emergency or significant life changes during the postpartum period are more likely to suffer from PPD.

A mouse thrombosis model was established by kappa-carrageenan to observe the inhibitory effect of subsp. KSFY07 (LDSB-KSFY07) on thrombosis and the oxidative stress response. Mouse serum, liver tissue-related indicators, and intestinal microbial composition were measured by examining the expression of microbes in mouse faeces using a biochemical kit, slice observations, and quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) experiments.

Compelling evidences have revealed the emerging role of ferroptosis in the pathophysiological process of acute lung injury (ALI), but its modulation is not clear. Here, we identified that STAT6 acted as a critical regulator of epithelium ferroptosis during ALI. Firstly, STAT6 expression and activity were increased in the ALI mice models caused by crystalline silica (CS), LPS and X-ray exposure.

Background: Differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) is the most common thyroid tumor, and the cells of DTC patients can lose the ability to differentiate in their natural state or during treatment and develop radioiodine-refractory DTC (RAI-R DTC), resulting in increased malignancy. Monocarboxylate transporter-1 ( ) is positively correlated with the level of malignant of various tumors, and its expression in RAI-R DTC cells is correlated with their biological cell traits.

Methods: Data from 14 iodine-refractory thyroid carcinoma patients were collected, and the effective radioiodine treatment group was used as the control group.

Genistein is a type of isoflavone, which has been widely described as an antitumor agent in many cancers. The present study aimed to provide information on the mechanisms of genistein's activity and thus enable a wider range of targeted therapies in hepatitis B virus (HBV)-related liver cancer. We searched the DrugBank database for direct targets of genistein, which were then analyzed through the STRING (Search Tool for the Retrieval of Interacting Genes/Proteins) database to predict their secondary protein targets.
