Can't Hold any More! A Large Survey on Cycling Subjective Experience at the Limit of Effort.

Psychol Sport Exerc

September 2025

Department of Experimental Psychology, University of Granada, Granada, Spain; Mind, Brain and Behavior Research Center (CIMCYC), University of Granada, Granada, Spain.

Cyclists frequently experience task failure, an abrupt inability to maintain high-intensity effort, pushing both physiological and psychological boundaries. Although the physiological underpinnings of task failure are well-documented, the associated subjective and perceptual experiences remain underexplored. To address this gap, we surveyed 2,818 licensed cyclists, gathering extensive data on the subjective aspects of reaching the point of exhaustion.

Germ-Specific Triacylglycerols as Potential Biomarkers for Authenticating Zhongzi Purple Rice, a Cultivar Recognized for Its Nutritional Value.

J Am Soc Mass Spectrom

September 2025

Beijing National Laboratory for Molecular Sciences, College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, Peking University, Beijing 100871, China.

Zhongzi purple rice is recognized as a nutritionally superior whole-grain variety, containing higher levels of protein, iron, dietary fiber, and vitamin B6 compared to conventional rice. While the nutritional profile of Zhongzi purple rice is well-established, the spatial distribution and structural specificity of its lipid components, especially germ-specific triacylglycerols (TAGs), remain poorly characterized. This study employs a multimodal mass spectrometric strategy to investigate the lipidomic uniqueness of the Zhongzi purple rice.

CZT-POWERED PHOTON-COUNTING CT: A REVOLUTION IN MEDICAL IMAGING.

Biomed Phys Eng Express

September 2025

Department of Physics, Beijing University of Science and Technology, 30 Xueyuan Rd., Haidian District, Beijing, 100083, CHINA.

Photon-counting CT is an innovative advancement primed to redefine the field of clinical imaging. Unlike traditional CT systems that rely on energy-integrating detectors, photon-counting CT employs Pioneering energy-sensitive x-ray detectors to both count individual photons and measure their energy levels. This breakthrough enables greater contrast-to-noise ratio, sharper spatial resolution and enhanced spectral imaging.

The 3D organization of the genome plays a critical role in regulating gene expression, maintaining cellular identity, and mediating responses to environmental cues. Advances in super-resolution microscopy and genomic technologies have enabled unprecedented insights into chromatin architecture at nanoscale resolution. However, the complexity and volume of data generated by these techniques necessitate innovative computational strategies for effective analysis and interpretation.

In this work, by combining the energetic -N═N-, -NO, and N-NH/N-NHNO groups with triazole, -amino compound and -nitramino compound were synthesized. Compound has a unique crystal structure, exhibiting enhanced energetic properties ( = 8996 m s, and = 34.0 GPa) and stability ( = 202 °C, IS = 21 J, and FS = 216 N) comparable to that of hexogen (RDX).
