Article Abstract

Zn-ZIF-confined polythiophene was synthesized solvent-free mechanochemical polymerization of thiophene within Zn-ZIF, followed by controlled carbonization to yield uniform N,S-co-doped porous carbons (N,S-PCs). The resulting N,S-PCs exhibit Pt/C-comparable oxygen reduction activity with superior durability, demonstrating excellent performance as efficient and stable air cathodes in Zn-air batteries.

Electrochemical CO reduction reaction (CORR) has emerged as a key negative-emission technology, yet its industrial adoption hinges on cathode catalysts that deliver high selectivity and production rates at low cost. Herein, we reported a facile hydrothermal route to synthesize different scales of ZnOHF ultrathin nanowires with hybridized ZnO/ZnOHF heterointerfaces, where the 40 nm variant (NW-ZnOHF) showed a high FE of 93 % and a of -17.2 mA/cm at -1.

Sequential deposition technique is widely used to fabricate perovskite films with large grain size in perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Residual lead halide (PbI) in the perovskite film tends to be decomposed into metallic lead (Pb) under long-term heating or light soaking. Here, a chiral levetiracetam (LEV) dopant containing α-amide and pyrrolidone groups is introduced into the PbI precursor solution.

The accumulation of nitrate (NO) from agricultural runoff poses a growing threat to ecosystems and public health. Converting nitrate into ammonia (NH) through the electrochemical nitrate reduction reaction (NORR) offers a promising strategy to mitigate environmental contamination while creating a sustainable circular route to fertilizer production. However, achieving high NH production and energy efficiency remains challenging.

Objectives: Due to ozonated water's antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, it may be used as a supplementary treatment to scaling and root planing (SRP). The present study aimed to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of using ozonated water instead of tap water during the SRP for people with chronic generalized periodontitis.

Material And Methods: This randomized clinical trial was conducted on 30 patients with generalized periodontitis Stages I and II, randomly allocated to two groups.

Multifunctional Photoactive Janus Nanofibrous Membranes for Unidirectional Water Transport and Remediation of Airborne Pathogens and Pollutants.

ACS Nano

State Key Laboratory of Materials-Oriented Chemical Engineering, National Engineering Research Center for Special Separation Membrane, Nanjing Tech University, Nanjing 210009, China.

Airborne pathogens and pollution control typically necessitate multiple membranes, each specializing in efficient aerosol filtration, moisture regulation, or antimicrobial protection. Integrating all these functions into a single membrane is highly advantageous but remains inherently challenging due to material incompatibility and inevitable performance trade-offs. Here, we present a photoactive Janus nanofibrous membrane for highly efficient air purification, engineered via sequential electrospinning.
