Background: Remote services (in which the patient and staff member are not physically colocated) and digital services (in which a patient encounter is digitally mediated in some way) were introduced extensively when the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020. We undertook a longitudinal qualitative study of the introduction, embedding, evolution and abandonment of remote and digital innovations in United Kingdom general practice. This synoptic paper summarises study design, methods, key findings, outputs and impacts to date.

Acute hepatitis E (AHE) disproportionately affects regions with diverse socioeconomic conditions. This study aims to assess the trends in AHE burden and health inequalities from 1990 to 2021. Utilising data from the Global Burden of Disease 2021, joinpoint regression was employed to identify significant trends.

Background: Given the growing global burden of Alzheimer's Disease and Other Dementias (ADODs) and inequalities in its distribution, it is of great necessity to analyze the trends and cross-country inequalities in the burden of ADODs globally and in China from 1990 to 2021.
Methods: Estimates and 95% uncertainty intervals (UIs) for incidence, prevalence, and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) of ADODs were obtained from the Global Burden of Diseases Study (GBD) 2021. We described the epidemiology of ADODs at global, regional, and national levels, conducting temporal trend analyses using estimated annual percentage change, joinpoint regression, and age-period-cohort model.

Background: The BRICS (Brazil, Russian, India, China and South Africa) was still in rapid development with great potential to promote the global governance of the type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The study aimed to offer practical experience and strategies for global T2DM management, particularly for developing countries by evaluating the trends, cross-country inequalities of T2DM burden in the BRICS in the past and further predict their changes to 2035.
Methods: Age-standardized rate of incidence, prevalence, and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) of T2DM were calculated.

Purpose: Colorectal cancer treatment measures can lead to reduced fertility and premature ovarian failure in women of childbearing age (WCBA), resulting in a major global burden. This study aimed to assess the global, regional and national burden of colorectal cancer (CRC) in WCBA and to provide the most up-to-date and comprehensive information available on WCBA CRC.
Methods: Four main indicators, including prevalence, incidence, mortality, and DALYs, related to CRC in WCBA were extracted from the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) database from 1990 to 2021.
