Article Abstract

Business engineering creates novel business solutions using a social and technological system. Business engineering is facing several challenges like (1) complexity management (2) rapid technological advancements (3) Resource constraints (4) Interdisciplinary collaboration etc., and there is a need to classify the solutions for these issues faced by the business community. To cover more advanced data and overcome the chance of data loss, in this article, we have developed the idea of a complex Pythagorean fuzzy rough set based on Tamir's idea of a complex fuzzy set. We have developed basic operational laws for the proposed idea under the notion of Yager's t-norm and t-conorm. Additionally, we have initiated the theory of complex Pythagorean fuzzy rough Yager weighted average and geometric aggregation operators. To discuss the utilization of the initiated work, we have introduced the WASPAS technique that can help us tackle the MADM problems. Moreover, we have provided an illustrative example for the classification of the solutions regarding the problems in business engineering. Also, a comparative analysis of the initiated theory shows the advantages of the introduced work.

This study investigated the efficacy of two microalgae treatment systems (Chlorella vulgaris monoculture and a Chlorella vulgaris-S395-2-Clonostachys rosea symbiotic system) in treating aquaculture wastewater, under varying concentrations of synthetic strigolactone analog (GR24). By exposing the systems to four GR24 doses (0, 10, 10, and 10 M), we examined the impact on biomass growth, photosynthesis, and wastewater treatment. Elevated GR24 concentrations bolstered metabolism and photosynthesis in the systems, fostering rapid symbiont growth and enhanced treatment efficiency.

Obesity is a global health crisis strongly linked to increased risk of type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and other metabolic disorders. Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) has emerged as an effective macromolecular therapeutic agent for weight management. This study addressed obesity management from three distinct perspectives: enhancing drug dispersion and bioavailability through a novel drug delivery device, extending drug half-life by developing sustained-release formulations, and sustaining the weight loss through implementation of structured dietary protocols.

Exposure to nanoplastics (NPs), a pervasive environmental pollutant, presents potential health risks. Pulmonary exposure to NPs has been shown to disrupt both pulmonary metabolic status and immune homeostasis, leading to concerns about their impact on respiratory health and systemic well-being. However, the underlying linkage and mechanisms remain elusive.

Herein, we present a simple and novel method to prepare soybean protein isolate (SPI)-based hydrogels with good mechanical characteristics. First, SPI/DSA hydrogels were prepared using SPI and different M/G ratios (1:2, 1:1, and 2:1) of dialdehyde sodium alginate (DSA). Then, the hydrogels were immersed in CaCl2 solution to form SPI/DSA@Ca double network hydrogels.
