Crystal-facet heterojunction engineering of mesoporous nanoreactors with highly redox-active represents an efficacious strategy for the transformation of CO into valuable C products (e.g., CH). Herein, hollow mesoporous cube-like CuS nanoreactors (~860 nm) with controlled anisotropic crystal-facets are prepared through an interfacial-confined ion dynamic migration-rearrangement strategy. The regulation of the S ion concentration facilitates the modulation of the highly active (110) to (100) crystal-facet ratios from 0.119 to 0.288, and induces the formation of anisotropic crystal-facet heterojunctions. The controllable crystal-facet heterojunctions trigger the directional charge carrier migration, and are accompanied with the formation of tandem S-defect sites (Cu-S@S). Both of them promote the efficient electron-hole pair dissociation and attain asymmetric C-C coupling. The hollow mesoporous CuS nanoreactors with optimized crystal-facet ratio of 0.224 (HMe-CuS-3) deliver a high selectivity of 72.7 % for the photocatalytic reduction of CO to acetylene (CH). Further constructed Au-(110) and CoO-(100) spatially separated cascade nanoreactors (SS-Au@CoO-CuS) achieve CO-CH photoreduction, in which the Co-sites enhance HO dissociation to provide protons and the protonation of *CO to *COH. The *COH is further captured by Au-sites to accomplish the asymmetric *CO-*COH coupling and subsequent protonation, ensuring a high CH generation rate of 4.11 μmol/g/h with a selectivity as high as 90.6 %.

Background: With the development of modern agriculture, neonicotinoid pesticides have been widely used due to their high efficiency and strong systemic properties. However, excessive use leads to the accumulation of residues in the food chain, threatening the ecosystem and human health. Pesticide residues are easily accumulated in oilseed crops and become concentrated during the edible oil refining process.

Carbon monoxide (CO) has demonstrated significant potential in tumor therapy. However, the uncontrolled release of CO and single-modality therapy often fail to achieve the desired therapeutic outcomes. To address the above deficiencies, mesoporous silica nanoparticles containing tetrasulfide bonds (TMSNs) were constructed as intelligent nanocarriers to co-deliver a mitochondria-targeting photosensitizer (Au-TPP) and a photodynamically activated CO-releasing molecule (FeCO), enabling the synergistic combination of photodynamic therapy (PDT) and CO therapy.

Rational optimization of the pore size and topology of porous nanocarriers is crucial for improving the loading amount of luminophore and enhancing electrochemiluminescence (ECL) performance. In this study, an equimolar linear ligand replacement strategy was employed to synthesize novel mesoporous metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for encapsulating Ru(bpy) (Ru@Zr MOFs) under room temperature without an acid modulator. Ingenious ligand substitution allows precise control of pore size, enabling encapsulation at the single-molecule level within mesoporous cages.
