Sepsis is a disease with high morbidity and mortality, for which effective treatments are lacking. In recent years, microRNAs (miRs) have been shown to regulate numerous biological processes and can function as therapeutic options for various diseases. However, the poor stability and cell entry properties of miRs have greatly limited their clinical application. In this study, we developed a tetrahedral framework nucleic acid (tFNA)-based bioswitchable miR delivery system (BiRDS) to deliver miR-150 for the treatment of sepsis. BiRDS showed anti-inflammatory effects both and by regulating the NF-κB and Notch1 pathways. Therefore, this system holds promise as an ideal candidate for tackling systemic inflammation and multiorgan dysfunction in septic patients in the future.

Porous organic cages (POCs) have emerged as promising porous materials for a wide range of applications. However, their development is often limited by insufficient chemical stability and challenges in systematically functionalization. Herein, we reported the design and synthesis of a tetrazine-based POC (TC1) featuring rigid tetrahedral structure, prepared via a one-pot nucleophilic aromatic substitution reaction.

Modeling membrane interactions with arbitrarily shaped colloidal particles, such as environmental micro- and nanoplastics, at the cell scale remains particularly challenging, owing to the complexity of particle geometries and the need to resolve fully coupled translational and rotational dynamics. Here, we present a force-based computational framework capable of capturing dynamic interactions between deformable lipid vesicles and rigid particles of irregular shapes. Both vesicle and particle surfaces are represented using triangulated meshes, and Langevin dynamics resolves membrane deformation alongside rigid-body particle motion.

A tetrahedral DNA framework-based fluorescent probe is programmed with multivalent aptamers for the precise targeting of membrane nucleolin and an initiator strand to trigger a hybridization chain reaction. Benefiting from multivalent aptamer targeting and HCR signal amplification, this probe demonstrates minimal endocytosis, enabling the reliable and amplified detection of a membrane protein biomarker.

Hydride superconductors have attracted significant attention, yet achieving superconductivity at ambient pressure remains a key challenge. Here, a family of high-T (superconducting critical temperature, T) hydrides based on the fluorite-type AXH structure, exhibiting thermodynamic and dynamic stability at low to atmospheric pressure, is proposed. Through comprehensive screening of 150 ternary systems, eight stable hydrides below 35 GPa are identified.

Point-of-care (POC) detection of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) is critical for the early screening and monitoring of prostate cancer (PCa), which facilitates timely intervention and personalized treatment. However, existing POC platforms suffer from inadequate detection sensitivities, susceptibility to matrix interference, and complex sample pretreatment. To address these issues, we proposed a naked-eye and colorimetric sensing platform based on magnetic nanozyme (FeO@ZIF-67@Pt) integrated with a tetrahedral DNA framework (TDF) and alkaline phosphatase (ALP)-triggered hydrolysis reaction for PSA detection with superior sensing performances.
