Plastics, particularly polystyrene (PS), are extensively used worldwide, especially in disposable packaging, which contributes to environmental pollution by generating microplastic particles. Herein, we investigated the pulmonary toxic effects of PS microplastics, focusing on airway inflammation and immune response. PS microplastic (50 nm to 1 μm) exposure was more likely to cause a severe pulmonary inflammatory response, particularly with smaller particle sizes.

Objective: To explore B cell infiltration-related genes in endometriosis (EM) and investigate their potential as diagnostic biomarkers.

Methods: Gene expression data from the GSE51981 dataset, containing 77 endometriosis and 34 control samples, were analyzed to detect differentially expressed genes (DEGs). The xCell algorithm was applied to estimate the infiltration levels of 64 immune and stromal cell types, focusing on B cells and naive B cells.

Livestock-associated methicillin-resistant (LA-MRSA) displays distinct geographical distribution patterns, with ST398 predominating in Europe and ST9 being the dominant lineage in Asia, particularly China. However, the mechanisms underlying these differences remain poorly understood. In this study, we evaluated the cell adhesion capacity, anti-phagocytic properties, and porcine nasal colonization potential of ST9 and ST398 strains isolated from China and Germany.

Nr4a2 (Nurr1) is well known to be vital for midbrain dopaminergic neurons. Recent single-cell RNA analyses reveal that Nr4a2 is expressed in lateral cerebral regions, within neurons named L4/L5/L6 IT Car3. These neurons have attracted intense attention for the molecular mechanisms underlying their development and functions.

Apicomplexan AP2 (ApiAP2) family proteins are a family of transcription factors that are known to regulate gene expression in apicomplexan pathogens, including . In this study, we focused on TgAP2X-7, a member of the APiAP2 family that is predicted to be essential for fitness. Endogenous tagging of TgAP2X-7 followed by immunofluorescence analysis revealed that it's a cell cycle-regulated nuclear protein with peak expression in the G1 phase.
