New information of the genus Agalope Walker, 1854 from mainland China is presented. Three new species of the Agalope pica species-group are described: A. haoi S.-Y. Huang sp. n. from Weixi County, Yunnan, A. chayuensis S.-Y. Huang Pan sp. n. from Chayu County, Southeastern Xizang and A. owadai S.-Y. Huang sp. n. from Bomi and Jiali Counties, Southeastern and Eastern Xizang. The little-known Agalope aurelia Oberthr, 1923 and A. lucia Oberthr, 1923 were rediscovered, with the male of the latter reported for the first time. Based on the newly discovered male, Agalope lucia is found to be a close relative of A. dejeani, hence it is excluded from the A. pica species-group and transferred to the A. bieti species-group. A new species of the Agalope hyalina species-group is also described: A. jianqingi S.-Y. Huang sp. n. from Pianma, Western Yunnan. Adults and genitalia of the aforementioned and related taxa are illustrated. An updated checklist of the genus is also provided.

Background: Type 2 diabetes is strongly associated with impaired collateralization, which increases the risk of cardiovascular complications, such as myocardial infarction and heart failure. This study explored the immune cell dynamics in patients with type 2 diabetes with chronic total occlusion and their impact on collateralization.
Methods: Peripheral blood mononuclear cells were extracted from patients with type 2 diabetes with chronic total occlusion, exhibiting either good or poor collateralization.
Whole-genome sequencing provides an unbiased and complete view of the human genome and enables the discovery of genetic variation without the technical limitations of other genotyping technologies. Here we report on whole-genome sequencing of 490,640 UK Biobank participants, building on previous genotyping effort. This advance deepens our understanding of how genetics associates with disease biology and further enhances the value of this open resource for the study of human biology and health.

Background: Essential thrombocythemia (ET) is a Philadelphia chromosome-negative myeloproliferative neoplasm that is characterized by thrombocytosis and an elevated risk of thrombosis and hemorrhage. We aimed to ascertain the demographics, treatment patterns, and risk of recurrent thrombosis among patients with ET in Taiwan.
Objectives: To investigate the patient characteristics, proportion of treatment, age-specific treatment pattern, average daily dose, and risk of recurrence of thrombosis in patients with ET.

Detecting neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration prior to cortical atrophy and subsequent clinical disability in people with multiple sclerosis (MS) has been challenging due to limited sensitivity on MRI. Our aim was to assess longitudinal changes in cortical cell body and neurite density related to lesion formation and atrophy using high-gradient diffusion MRI. In this longitudinal study, nine people with MS underwent 3 T high-gradient diffusion MRI at baseline and follow-up (median 5 years).
