Multifunctional materials have always been an attractive research area, but how to combine multiple excellent properties in one compound remains a considerable challenge. Organic-inorganic hybrid compounds are widely used in the design of such materials due to their rich properties and flexible assembly. Herein, two new manganese(II)-based organic-inorganic hybrid compounds, (CNH)MnBr () and (CNH)MnBr (), are prepared by the solution method. Compounds and both emit extremely strong green light under UV excitation, with high quantum yields of 45.93 and 50.98%, respectively. In addition, reversible solid-state phase transitions and obvious switchable dielectric properties are shown at 378/366 and 361/352 K, respectively. The coexistence of the dual stimulus-response characteristics of temperature and light in compounds and opens a new path for exploring more multifunctional phase transition materials.

Hemostatic intervention at the bleeding site during early-phase wound management plays a crucial role in reducing trauma-induced complications and mortality, while advanced wound dressings facilitate hemorrhage control, exudate management, and antimicrobial protection to promote optimal healing outcomes. To address these issues, we developed a multifunctional collagen/silk fibroin/Mg(OH)₂ (Col/SF/Mg(OH)₂) composite sponge combining enhanced mechanical strength, rapid hemostasis, and broad-spectrum antibacterial activity. The incorporation of silk fibroin (SF) through covalent crosslinking increased the elastic modulus by 4.

Lipid nanocapsules (LNCs) are an emerging nanocarrier platform for cancer therapy as they can co-deliver multiple drugs, promote synergistic action, and provide targeted drug delivery. The phase inversion temperature (PIT) process is most used for LNC formulation, which has the advantage of process simplicity, thermodynamic stability, and the employment of non-toxic solvents without requiring high energy input. Surface functionalization with targeting ligands like folic acid and peptides increases tumor specificity and reduces off-target toxicity.

Terahertz communication systems demand versatile devices capable of simultaneously controlling propagating waves and surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) in far-field (FF) and near-field (NF) channels, yet existing solutions are constrained by volatile operation, single-function limitations, and the inability to integrate NF and FF functionalities. Here, we present a nonvolatile reconfigurable terahertz metasurface platform leveraging the phase-change material GeSbTe(GST) to achieve on-demand dual-channel modulation-a first in the terahertz regime. By exploiting the stark conductivity contrast of GST between amorphous and crystalline states, our design enables energy-efficient switching between NF-SPP manipulation and FF-wavefront engineering without requiring continuous power input.

The scalable fabrication of high performance dyes desalination loose nanofiltration (LNF) membrane through facile thermal annealing remains challenging due to the susceptible pore collapse. Herein, we have developed a metal ion mediated sub-Tg thermal crosslinking protocol, which can convert the phase inverted reactive polymeric ultrafiltration substrate into LNF membrane showing high permselectivity as well as resistance to both extremely acid and alkaline solution. The original ultrafiltration substrate was composed of scalable-produced reactive polyarylene ether amidoxime (PEA) that was pre-crosslinked with ferric ions.
