Background: Dok-3 has been shown to play an important role in immune system. Tim-3 also has been recognized as an important immune regulator which involves in many diseases. The relationship of them is still unclear.
Methods: We detected the expression of Tim-3 on spleen immune cells from Dok-3 deficient mice and control mice by flow cytometry.
Results: In this article, we found that Dok-3 mice display almost entirely different immune clustering characteristics compared with wild type 129 mice. The CD4 T cells and CD8 T cells decreased and DC cells, macrophages, MDSCs increased when the Dok-3 gene knocked-out. The Tim-3 expression on CD4 T cells, CD8 T cells, NK cells, DC cells increased when the Dok-3 gene knocked-out. The macrophages and MDSCs just display the opposite results.
Conclusions: Although Dok-3 mice display different immune clustering and Tim-3 expression, the mechanism still needs further study.

Background And Aims: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has a poor prognosis and limited treatment options. TGF-β is a promising therapeutic target, but its dual role, as both a tumour suppressor and promoter, complicates its clinical application. While its effects on tumour cells are increasingly understood, its impact on the tumour stroma remains unclear.

Hyperlipidemia is a common chronic disease characterized by elevated levels of lipids in the blood. There is some evidence that suggests that berberine (BBR) might be beneficial for the treatment of hyperlipidemia. However, its low intestinal bioavailability limits its potential therapeutic action.

Objective: Anoikis is an anchorage-dependent programmed cell death implicated in multiple pathological processes of cancers; however, the prognostic value of anoikis-related genes (ANRGs) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains unclear. Our study aims to develop an ANRGs-based prediction model to improve prognostic assessment in HCC patients.
Methods: The RNA-seq profile was performed to estimate the expression of ANRGs in HCC patients.

Breast cancer is the most prevalent malignancy worldwide, yet conventional therapies are invasive and prone to resistance, recurrence, and metastasis. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a promising noninvasive modality, but its efficacy is limited by tumor hypoxia and poor photosensitizer delivery. Here, we report a photoacoustic-imaging nanomotor, PPIC, which addresses these challenges through integrated functions of oxygen production, deep tissue penetration and photoacoustic imaging.

The paraventricular thalamic nucleus (PVT) integrates subcortical signals related to arousal, stress, addiction, and anxiety with top-down cortical influences. Increases or decreases in PVT activity exert profound, long-lasting effects on behavior related to motivation, addiction and homeostasis. Yet the sources of its subcortical excitatory and inhibitory afferents, their distribution within the PVT, and their integration with layer-specific cortical inputs remain unclear.
