Type 1 CD8α conventional dendritic cells (cDC1s) are required for CD8 T cell priming but, paradoxically, promote splenic Listeria monocytogenes infection. Using mice with impaired cDC2 function, we ruled out a role for cDC2s in this process and instead discovered an interleukin-10 (IL-10)-dependent cellular crosstalk in the marginal zone (MZ) that promoted bacterial infection. Mice lacking the guanine nucleotide exchange factor DOCK8 or CD19 lost IL-10-producing MZ B cells and were resistant to Listeria. IL-10 increased intracellular Listeria in cDC1s indirectly by reducing inducible nitric oxide synthase expression early after infection and increasing intracellular Listeria in MZ metallophilic macrophages (MMMs). These MMMs trans-infected cDC1s, which, in turn, transported Listeria into the white pulp to prime CD8 T cells. However, this also facilitated bacterial expansion. Therefore, IL-10-mediated crosstalk between B cells, macrophages, and cDC1s in the MZ promotes both Listeria infection and CD8 T cell activation.

Objective: To examine the safety and effectiveness of non-inverted ILM Free Flap combined with the SPOT technique (Sub-Perfluorocarbon liquid (PFCL) injection of Ocular viscoelastic device (OVD) Technique) in the treatment of unclosed macular holes (MHs).
Design: Retrospective interventional case series.
Participants: Eight patients (8 eyes) with persistent unclosed MHs were treated at a tertiary eye hospital in China from September 2023 to February 2025.

Objectives: to evaluate the effect of smear-layer deproteinization using papain gel and SPRG-adhesive on marginal-gap, anti-demineralization of enamel and dentin after chemical pH cycling and assess acid-base resistance zone (ABRZ) characteristics.
Methods: Cylindrical cavities were prepared cervically in thirty-two extracted premolars. Teeth were divided into two pretreatment groups (n=16); deproteinization with papain enzyme gel (Papacarie Due, Brazil) for 60 second, and no-deproteinization.

Obesity has been associated with non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), but the evidence is inconclusive. We examined the association between genetically determined adiposity and four common NHL subtypes: diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), follicular lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and marginal zone lymphoma, using eight genome-wide association studies of European ancestry (N = 10,629 cases, 9505 controls) and constructing polygenic scores for body mass index (BMI), waist-to-hip ratio (WHR), and waist-to-hip ratio adjusted for BMI (WHRadjBMI). Higher genetically determined BMI was associated with an increased risk of DLBCL [odds ratio (OR) per standard deviation (SD) = 1.

Objective: This study aimed to examine the relationship between physical activity volume and sleep duration in older adults, using objective monitoring data to investigate their non-linear association and threshold effects, thereby providing references for developing exercise programs to improve sleep duration.
Methods: The study used two consecutive waves of NHANES cross-sectional data (2011-2014) as the derivation cohort and NHANES 2005-2006 data as the validation cohort. Analysis of the derivation cohort included weighted univariate analysis, weighted multivariate logistic regression, and interpretable machine learning analysis.

Early diagnosis of splenic marginal zone lymphoma (SMZL) is difficult because of its insidious symptoms and slow progression. Combining conventional ultrasound with contrast-enhanced ultrasound can enable to differentiate between benign and malignant splenic lesions, which could guide further clinical examination and eventually improve the diagnostic rate of SMZL.
