Article Abstract

A novel Mn(III)/TEMPO-co-mediated tandem azidation-1,2-carbon migration reaction of allylic silyl ethers with an unactivated C=C bond has been explored, generating α-aryl-alkyl β-azido ketones with an α-quaternary stereocenter.

Bimetallic MnZn-MOF-74 with enhanced percentage of Mn: Efficiently catalytic activity for direct oxidative carboxylation of olefins to cyclic carbonates under mild and solvent-free condition.

J Colloid Interface Sci

State Key Laboratory of Urban Water Resource and Environment, MIIT Key Laboratory of Critical Materials Technology for New Energy Conversion and Storage, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin 150080, China. Electronic address:

Multi-functional MOF catalyst with oxidative- and acid- centers showed potential in olefins oxidative carboxylation to cyclic carbonates directly. In this work, a series of bimetallic MnZn-MOF-74 with different molar ratios of Mn and Zn were synthesized successfully through a one-pot facile method. Thoroughly characterization indicated that the existence of Zn regulated the valance state distribution of Mn in the obtained MnZn-MOF-74.

Bisphenol A (BPA) is a high production volume chemical with potential estrogenic effects susceptible to abiotic degradation by MnO. BPA transformation products and reaction mechanisms with MnO have been investigated, but detailed process understanding of Mn(III)-mediated degradation has not been attained. Rapid consumption of BPA occurred in batch reaction vessels with 1 mM Mn(III) and 63.

Oxidation of diclofenac by birnessite: Identification of products and proposed transformation pathway.

J Environ Sci (China)

December 2020

Department of Technology Assessment, Technical Centre for Soil, Agricultural and Rural Ecology and Environment, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Beijing 100012, China.

Diclofenac (DCF), a widely used non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, reacted readily with birnessite under mild conditions, and the pseudo first order kinetic constants achieved 8.84 × 10 hr. Five products of DCF including an iminoquinone product (2,5-iminoquinone-diclofenac) and four dimer products were observed and identified by tandem mass spectrometry during the reaction.

A mixed-valent hexadecanuclear manganese cluster, [MnMn(trz)(thetach)(μ-O)(HO)](ClO) (), containing two Mn and 14 Mn ions, is constructed from mixed generated ligands, 1,2,3-triazole (Htrz) and 1,3,5-tri(2-hydroxyethyl)-1,3,5-triazacyclohexane (Hthetach). Remarkably, both ligands were not initially added into the reaction system, and their formations involve the ligand decomposition and subsequent condensation reactions. The core of is an elongated torus comprised of eight Mn atoms and four [MnO] subunits bridged by oxo or alkoxide.

Manganese porphyrin redox state in endothelial cells: Resonance Raman studies and implications for antioxidant protection towards peroxynitrite.

Cationic manganese(III) ortho N-substituted pyridylporphyrins (MnP) act as efficient antioxidants catalyzing superoxide dismutation and accelerating peroxynitrite reduction. Importantly, MnP can reach mitochondria offering protection against reactive species in different animal models of disease. Although an LC-MS/MS-based method for MnP quantitation and subcellular distribution has been reported, a direct method capable of evaluating both the uptake and the redox state of MnP in living cells has not yet been developed.
