The quality of drugs is a crucial premise for ensuring the safety and effectiveness of clinical medication, while quality control during the pharmaceutical process directly affects the quality and consistency of the final product formulation. However, there is a lack of a comprehensive and scientific system for assessing and optimizing the quality control level during the manufacturing process in the field of drug quality control. Therefore, this study proposed the concept of "pharmaceutical process omics", clarified its advantages in guiding drug production, and explored in depth the research approaches, diverse analytical techniques, and broad range of applications in drug quality control.

This challenge is amplified by the critical role of mitochondria in metastasis, regulating processes like fatty acid metabolism that drive tumor cell migration. Moreover, emerging evidence suggests that bacterial infiltration, particularly Staphylococcus xylosus (S.

Purpose: Stroke remains a leading cause of death and disability worldwide, with carotid intima-media thickness (IMT) and carotid plaque being significant predictors of cerebrovascular diseases. Despite the established correlation between carotid IMT and stroke, the specific factors influencing IMT in populations with unstable plaques are not well understood. This study aimed to identify the influential factors affecting carotid IMT in individuals with asymptomatic (without prior cardiocerebrovascular events) unstable plaques and to explore sex-specific differences.

The aim of the study was to develop bio-based active films with improved functional properties for potential food packaging applications, particularly in preserving pork. The glucose hydrolyze PC (HG-PC) complex film and the GA composites (GA-HG-PC) film were prepared, and their structural, mechanical, water sensitivity, and color properties were thoroughly evaluated.

Clinically, Xiaoyaosan (XYS) alleviates depressive symptoms in patients with PSD. However, the existing literature does not provide sufficient evidence to ascertain whether XYS can alleviate these symptoms by modulating gut microbiota.

The immune system's cellular components significantly influence the initiation, advancement, and outcome of head and neck malignancies.
Methods: Our investigation employed Mendelian randomization techniques to analyze genome-wide association data encompassing 731 immune cell phenotypes, 1400 plasma metabolites, and 2281 head and neck cancer patients.

Directed molecular evolution is the key technology for obtaining enzymes, proteins, metabolic pathways, and other components of living organisms that have specific functions or desirable properties, which are indispensable in a variety of industrial and medical applications. Despite the success of traditional methods, they are often limited by low efficiency and the high cost of obtaining desired mutants. The advent of CRISPR technology has significantly advanced the field by enabling precise and efficient gene targeting, offering new prospects for directed evolution.

The triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index, as a surrogate marker of insulin resistance, is associated with atherosclerosis, but its role in predicting carotid plaque and intima-media thickness (IMT) changes remains unclear. This study aimed to assess the relationship between the TyG index and carotid plaque incidence and IMT changes over a six-year period in a cohort of middle-aged and elderly individuals with low income and low education in rural China.

ADSCs were isolated and cultured from rat adipose tissue, and ADSCs-exo were extracted via ultracentrifugation. Urethral fibrosis was induced by local injection of TGF-β1 (10 μg), followed by ADSCs-exo treatment.

Such impairments affect a patient's physiological function and can cause significant mental health problems. In recent years, the new transrectus lateral approach has favorably treated pelvic fractures and possibly preserved patients' physiological and psychological conditions.

As mitochondrial (MT) metabolism has emerged as an important regulator of host immune function, we explored the association of host MT genetics (MT haplogroups) with ICI efficacy in 1,225 ICI-treated patients with MM from the clinical trial CheckMate-067 and the International Germline Immuno-Oncology Melanoma Consortium. We discovered and validated significant associations of MT haplogroup T (HG-T) with resistance to anti-programmed cell death protein-1-based ICI (both single-agent and combination) and have shown that HG-T is independent from established tumor predictors.

Purpose: This study evaluated the effects of 12 months of NBP treatment on stroke recurrence and examined the influence of age and gender on its efficacy.
Methods: A prospective cohort of 1109 patients with non-cardioembolic ischemic stroke (IS) within six months was divided into NBP (n = 538) and control (n = 571) groups. The NBP group received NBP plus standard treatment, while the control group received standard treatment alone.

Objective: To evaluate the value of dual-energy computed tomography (DECT) parameters for the quantitative diagnosis of acute pancreatitis (AP) and classification of its severity.
Methods: Patients with AP underwent a plain CT scan and three contrast-enhanced DECT scans. We analyzed the group differences in iodine concentration (IC) and slope of the spectral Hounsfield unit curve (λHU) of the 3-phase enhanced scans (arterial, venous, and delayed phases).

Growing evidence indicates an interesting interplay between kidney and bone. The pathophysiological condition of the skeletal system is intricately associated with the normal functioning of the kidneys. This relationship is modulated by various factors, including calcium and phosphate, 1-α-hydroxylase, erythropoietin (EPO), klotho, fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23), bone morphogenetic protein-7 (BMP-7), and extracellular vesicles (EVs).

Background: Osteoporosis (OP) is a major metabolic bone disease with significant health and socioeconomic impacts. The triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index and its derivatives, which reflect insulin resistance (IR), may play a role in bone metabolism. However, the relationship between TyG indices and OP is unclear.

Quantitative H NMR (H qNMR) is an ideal tool for bioprocess monitoring because it can comprehensively detect and quantify diverse metabolites that significantly influence bioprocess performance. However, the long experiment time associated with the H qNMR, due to the long longitudinal relaxation time (T1) of some metabolites, does not meet the requirements for high-throughput analysis. We developed a high-throughput H qNMR method for bioprocess analysis using a short relaxation delay (D1) to reduce analytical time and a correction factor (k) to compensate for incomplete relaxation.
