The synthesis of thin crystalline two-dimensional polymers (2DPs) typically relies on reversible dynamic covalent reactions. While substantial progress has been made in solution-based and interfacial syntheses, achieving 2DPs through irreversible carbon-carbon coupling reactions remains a formidable challenge. Herein, we present an on-liquid surface (a mixture of N,N-dimethylacetamide and water, DMAc-HO) synthesis method for constructing diyne-linked 2DP (DY2DP) crystals via Glaser coupling, assisted by a perfluoro-surfactant (PFS) monolayer.

Traditional plastic films have caused serious environmental issues due to "white pollution". This study isolates lignin from cottonseed hulls to explore alternatives to plastic films. Using both cottonseed hull lignin and commercially sourced white lignin as raw materials, we performed hydroxy-methylation modification via physical and chemical cross-linking to obtain hydroxy-methylated cottonseed hull lignin and hydroxy-methylated white lignin, resulting in hydroxy-methylated lignin with improved hydrophilicity.

Introduction: The COVID-19 epidemic significantly impacted global education patterns. To protect the health of students, many countries and regions implemented online curricula during the peak of the epidemic, allowing teaching to continue despite the suspension of classes. However, whether all subjects, such as physical education (PE), can be effectively learned online is worth exploring.

Assessing obesity's impact on CVDs based solely on height or weight can be inaccurate. The body roundness index (BRI) estimates visceral fat distribution, but its association with CVDs in large-scale Chinese cohort remained unexplored.

The rational design and application of high-performance electrocatalysts are the key to advance this technique. In this work, mesoporous carbon encapsulated ultrafine ScO nanoparticles are reported as a new, highly efficient and selective electrocatalyst that realizes the concurrent electrochemical oxidation of biomass-derived 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) to FDCA coupled with hydrogen evolution.

However, the accuracy, robustness, and transferability of these two selection methods are underexplored, especially when addressing complex traits. In this study, we introduce a novel data fusion framework, GPS (genomic and phenotypic selection), designed to enhance predictive performance by integrating genomic and phenotypic data through three distinct fusion strategies: data fusion, feature fusion, and result fusion.

The preparation of dual-site catalysts requires creating two distinct reaction sites, leading to various synthesis methods. Introducing movable reaction sites can also modify the original atomic arrangement, triggering changes in the electron distribution of materials.

It remains unclear how rhizosphere soil biotics and abiotics respond to soil heterogeneity and how rhizosphere interactions influence crop growth.
Results: In this study, we planted fava beans in a farmland around an e-waste dismantling site, and a distinct boundary (row spacing is 30 cm) was observed in the field during the flowering stage, which divided fava beans phenotypes into two distinct groups (Big vs Little) based on the differences in biomass and height.
Platinum‑resistant ovarian cancer (PROC) is a significant clinical challenge due to the limited number of treatment options and poor outcomes. Moreover, cytotoxic drugs have an unsatisfactory therapeutic efficacy, high toxicity and side effects. An antibody‑drug conjugate (ADC) is a novel cancer therapeutic strategy that combines an antibody, a linker and a payload.

In the electrode reactions, the interfacial water is a key factor in regulating these dynamics. However, the potential of utilizing interfacial-free water (IFW) to modulate electrode behavior remains underexplored.

We report the first example of photocatalytic acceptorless dehydrogenation using cationic Eosin Y as a bifunctional photocatalyst, without metal catalysts or HAT reagents. Under Bayesian optimized conditions, a wide range of flavones were synthesized in moderate to excellent yields, many of which were reported with biological activities. Mechanistic studies suggest that flavones likely form through two HAT processes, with hydrogen release occurring photoredox.

Herein, we show that the doping of scandium (Sc) into an NiFe-LDH electrocatalyst (Sc-NiFe-LDH) considerably promotes HMFOR by enhancing the formation of high-valence Ni-O active sites, facilitating electron transport and HMF adsorption and suppressing the oxygen evolution reaction. In the presence of the Sc-NiFe-LDH electrocatalyst, an FDCA faradaic efficiency and selectivity of 96.

An efficient and eco-friendly process for the cascade recovery of Zn, Sn, Pb, and precious metals Au and Pt from ESSS was proposed, combining NaOH roasting and acid-free aluminum salts leaching. Optimal NaOH roasting conditions achieved high extraction efficiencies for Zn, Sn, and Pb, which were then separated via water leaching.

The interleukin-33(IL-33) - group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s) - interleukin-13(IL-13) - monocytic myeloid-derived suppressor cells (M-MDSCs) axis plays a critical role in promoting immune evasion in tumors; however, its specific function in cervical cancer remains poorly understood. In this study, we observed that the proportion of IL-33-ILC2s-IL-13-M-MDSCs were significantly elevated in both cervical cancer patients and the subcutaneous U14 cervical cancer mouse model, compared to normal controls. Our results suggest that IL-33 stimulates ILC2s to secrete IL-13, which, in turn, regulates M-MDSCs to enhance their immune evasion capabilities.
