Benthic microbial communities are a vital component of coastal subtidal zones, playing an essential role in nutrient cycling and energy flow, and are fundamental to maintaining the stability and functioning of marine ecosystems. However, the response of benthic prokaryotic and eukaryotic microbial communities to environmental changes remains poorly understood. Herein, we conducted a nearly semimonthly annual sampling survey to investigate the temporal patterns and underlying mechanisms of benthic prokaryotic and eukaryotic microbial communities in the subtidal sediments of Sanshan Island, situated in the eastern Laizhou Bay of the Bohai Sea, China.

Following surgery, parents receive instructions and recommendations, whether from nurses or physicians, regardless of complication rates. However, nurses play a crucial role in educating caregivers before surgery and providing postoperative care during follow-up.

The Pacific Ocean (PO), one of the world's largest oligotrophic regions, remains largely unexplored in terms of the biogeography and biodiversity of microeukaryotes based on large-scale sampling.

This study constructed a targeted delivery system for experimental colitis, namely, eudragit (EuL)-coated chitosan (Ch)-TG conjugate microspheres (Ch-TG-MS/EuL), and evaluated its therapeutic efficacy and underlying mechanisms.
Methods: Ch-TG-MS was fabricated using emulsification cross-linking technique and then coated with EuL to create Ch-TG-MS/EuL.

() infection is associated with a variety of gastrointestinal diseases. Here, we focused on the activity of a novel nanomedicine-liposomal linolenic acid (LipoLLA) against and its impact on human fecal bacteria . The minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of LipoLLA against 30 clinical strains were determined in combination with amoxicillin (AMX), metronidazole (MTZ), levofloxacin (LVFX) and clarithromycin (CAM).

Aim: To assess the efficacy and safety of fourth-generation quinolones for () eradication, we conducted this systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials.
Methods: Major literature databases (PubMed, EMBASE and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials) were searched for relevant articles published prior to February 2018. We performed a meta-analysis of all randomized clinical trials that examined the efficacy of eradication therapies and included fourth-generation quinolones in the experimental arm.

Under the traditional processing theory "wine processing could promote the efficacy", Rhubarb after wine processing could treat the upper energizer diseases such as red swelling, and breath sores. Processing changes the medicinal properties of rhubarb, and thus results in different focuses in clinical application. In this study, a sensitive and specific method was developed for the determination of aloe-emodin, rhein and emodin in rats tissue.

Proteomics method, based on NanoLC-LTQ-Orbitrap technology, was applied to explore the biological basis of intervention effect of "Qi enriching" herbs on "Qi deficiency" rats. The "Qi deficiency" rat model was established with caloric restriction combined with excessive swimming. Muscle proteins of vastus lateralis from the blank group, the model group and the ginseng group were detected by NanoLC-LTQ-Orbitrap system.

This paper was aimed to investigate the impact of the extraction from raspberry on the Alzheimer disease model protein expression. According to weight, the ovariectomized mice were randomly divided into shame operation group, model group, estrogen positive control group(0.1 g•L⁻¹) and ethyl acetate extraction part control group(in dose of 18 g•kg⁻¹).

Sinomenine is a pure alkaloid with immunosuppressive effects that is extracted from the Chinese medicinal plant Sinomenium acutum. We studied the therapeutic effects of sinomenine on inflammatory bowel disease. In this study, we randomly divided mice into the following ten groups: Control group; DSS-induced colitis group; Salicylazosulfapyridine (SASP)-treated group; Chitosan-treated group; low-, medium-, and high-dose sinomenine-treated and sinomenine enteric-coated microspheres-treated groups.

Forsythoside A (FTA), a monomer of phenethyl alcohol glycosides extracted from Forsythia suspensa, has been shown to possess anti-bacterial and immunomodulatory properties. However, it is currently not known whether FTA can counter the adverse effects of endotoxins.

Objective: To study the potential protective effect of monomer forsythiaside A (FA), a key component of traditional Chinese medicine, on acute lung injury induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in mice and its possible mechanism.
Methods: The mouse model of acute lung injury was induced by LPS of 10 mg/kg, ip. The experiment was carried out in six groups: control group: without any treatment (n=8); acute lung injury model group: mice were given LPS at a dose of 10 mg/kg (n=8); antibody group: mice were given anti-TLR4/MD antibody (50 μg/20 g body weight) 12 h before modeling (n=8); high-, medium- and low-dose FA groups: mice were respectively given FA at 80 mg/kg (n=8), 20 mg/kg (n=8) and 5 mg/kg (n=8).

Aim: To explore the immunity modulation function of aqueous of Forsythia suspense (AFS) and its possible mechanisms.
Methods: Rats of burned model group were burned with vapor under 3 mpa pressure and 108 degrees C temperature for 8 seconds to achieve deep partial-thickness burn, to make a thirty percent total body surface area (TBSA) burn. The experiment were divided into five groups:
Control Group: without any treatment; 8PBH group: 8 h after burn; the rats of AFS1 group, AFS2 group and AFS3 group of them were given AFS 5 g/kg, 2.

Aim: To investigate the expression of Toll like receptor 4(TLR4) on splenocytes and TNF-alpha mRNA, the dynamic changes of CD4(+) CD25(+) regulatory T cell(Treg) and endotoxin(ET) in peripheral blood of burnt rats during the early phase, and to explore the mechanism against inflammatory reaction in intestine-derived infection after burn.
Methods: 64 SD male rats were randomly separated into control group and burn model groups. Rats of burn model group were burnt with vapor under 3 mPa pressure and 108 degrees Celsius temperature for 8 seconds to achieve deep partial-thickness burn, and a 30% total body surface area (TBSA) burn model was made.
