Hydroborate-based solid electrolytes (SEs), distinguished by their eco-friendliness and non-flammability have emerged as a research hotspot in energy storage research. Despite these advantages, their widespread adoption is constrained by insufficient ionic conductivity and poor high-voltage compatibility. To overcome this challenge, a novel hydroborate SEs, 400-0.

Background: Pixel-level medical image segmentation tasks are challenging due to factors such as variable target scales, complex geometric shapes, and low contrast. Although U-shaped hybrid networks have demonstrated strong performance, existing models often fail to effectively integrate the local features captured by convolutional neural networks (CNNs) with the global features provided by Transformers. Moreover, their self-attention mechanisms often lack adequate emphasis on critical spatial and channel information.

How to effectively identify these changes caused by groundwater exploitation reduction (GWER) is directly related to the safety of groundwater resources in Hebei Province. The eastern plain of Handan was selected as the study area, where groundwater restoration is remarkable.

Fibroblast activating protein (FAP) is up-regulated in cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) of more than 90 % of tumor microenvironment and also highly expressed on the surface of multiple tumor cells like glioblastoma, which can be used as a specific target for tumor diagnosis and treatment. At present, small-molecule radiotracer targeting FAP with high specificity exhibit limited functionality, which hinders the integration of theranostics as well as multifunctionality. In this work, we have engineered a multifunctional nanoplatform utilizing organic melanin nanoparticles that specifically targets FAP, facilitating both multimodal imaging and synergistic therapeutic applications.

Background: In recent years, PD-L1 has been primarily utilized as an immune checkpoint marker in cancer immunotherapy. However, due to tumor heterogeneity, the response rate to such therapies often falls short of expectations. In addition to its role in immunotherapy, PD-L1 serves as a specific target on the surface of tumor cells for targeted diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.

The transformation proceeds under mild reaction conditions and exhibits a wide substrate scope and good functional group compatibility. In addition, this strategy could be extended to the synthesis of α-acyloxyketones using carboxylic acids as the nucleophiles to react with EBXs.

Purpose: Intramedullary nailing is the preferred internal fixation technique for the treatment of subtrochanteric fractures because of its biomechanical advantages. However, no definitive conclusion has been reached regarding whether combined cable cerclage is required during intramedullary nailing treatment. This study is performed to compare the clinical effects of intramedullary nailing with cerclage and non-cerclage wiring in the treatment of irreducible spiral subtrochanteric fractures.

In higher plants, the regulatory roles of cAMP (cyclic adenosine 3',5'-monophosphate) signaling remain elusive until now. Cellular cAMP levels are generally much lower in higher plants than in animals and transiently elevated for triggering downstream signaling events. Moreover, plant adenylate cyclase (AC) activities are found in different moonlighting multifunctional proteins, which may pose additional complications in distinguishing a specific signaling role for cAMP.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFNon-AIE-type molecular photosensitizers (PSs) suffer from the aggregation-caused-quenching (ACQ) effect in an aqueous medium due to the strong hydrophobic and π-π interactions of their conjugated planes, which significantly hinders the enhancement of tumor photodynamic therapy (PDT). So far, some ionic PSs have been reported with good water-solubility, though the ACQ effect can still be induced in a biological environment rich in ions, leading to unsatisfactory delivery and fluorescence imaging performance. Hence, designing molecular PSs with outstanding anti-ACQ properties in water is highly desirable, but it remains a tough challenge for non-AIE-type fluorophores.

High pressure can change the valence electron arrangement of the elements, and it can be as a new method for the emergence of unexpected new compounds. In this paper, the Ca-Ar compounds at 0-200 GPa are systematically investigated by using CALYPSO structure prediction methods combined with first principles calculations. The study of the Ca-Ar system can provide theoretical guidance for the exploration of new structures of inert elemental Ar compounds under high pressure.

The incidence of hyponatremia after spinal cord injury was reported to be between 25 and 80%. Hyponatremia can lead to a variety of clinical symptoms, from mild to severe and even life-threatening. Hyponatremia is often associated with diabetes insipidus, which refers to insufficient arginine vasopressin (AVP) secretion or defective renal response to AVP, with clinical manifestations of syndromes such as hypoosmolality, polydipsia, and polydipsia.

Water is ubiquitous in natural systems where it builds an essential environment supporting biological supramolecular polymers to function, transport, and exchange. However, this extreme polar environment becomes a hindrance for the superhydrophobic functional π-conjugated molecules, causing significant negative impacts on regulating their aggregation pathways, structures, and properties of the subsequently assembled nanomaterials. It especially makes the self-assembly of ultrathin two-dimensional (2D) functional nanomaterials by π-conjugated molecules a grand challenge in water, although ultrathin 2D functional nanomaterials have exhibited unique and superior properties.
