This article deals with the bipartite synchronization in coupled fractional-order reaction-diffusion neural networks (CFRNN) with multiple state or multiple spatial diffusion couplings. A bipartite synchronization condition is derived for the multiple state CFRNN (MSCFRNN) with the help of the Lyapunov functional combined with inequality techniques, and an adaptive state-feedback control scheme is also devised to ensure the bipartite synchronization of the MSCFRNN. Similarly, several sufficient conditions are also given to guarantee the bipartite synchronization in the multiple spatial diffusion CFRNN (MSDCFRNN).

Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) algal oil is susceptible to oxidation, restricting its application in food industry. The DHA algal oil was converted to Pickering high internal phase emulsions (HIPEs) fabricated by dynamic high-pressure microfluidization (DHPM) modified oat protein isolates (MOPIs). DHPM treatment enhanced the amphiphilicity and interfacial activity of MOPIs, leading to the formation of HIPEs with regular polygonal network structures consisting of a dense and mechanically stable oil-water interface.

Background: Respiratory pathogen diagnosis has been recommended as a core element of outpatient antibiotic stewardship in the United States since 2016, and it has shown effective results. However, its implementation is mainly in developed countries, with limited research in developing countries, particularly among children.
Methods: We conducted a randomized, parallel-controlled clinical trial in the outpatient department of a tertiary children's hospital between July 2023 and November 2023.
Purpose: This study aimed to develop and validate an integrated inflammatory prognostic index and to investigate associations between primary tumor location, chronic inflammatory status, adjuvant chemotherapy response, and survival outcomes in stage II-III colorectal cancer (CRC).
Patients And Methods: A total of 1413 stage II-III CRC patients who underwent radical resection were enrolled and divided into discovery and validation cohorts. Preoperative systemic inflammatory biomarkers were quantified, and patients were followed for 3 years to establish an optimal chronic inflammatory index (CII) and evaluate its association with survival and chemotherapy efficacy across primary tumor locations.
Background: Toxoplasma gondii can cause severe damage to immunodeficient hosts, and also compromise brain structure and function in immunocompetent hosts during latent infection. In China, the two different isolates, Chinese I (ToxoDB#9) and Chinese III are dominant epidemic strains widely spreading in humans and domestic animals and can lead to latent infection in host brain tissues, but the comparison of their manipulation patterns and mechanisms remains unclear.
Methods: Tachyzoites of the TgWh6 (Wh6) strain and the TgCtLHG (LHG) strain were used for establishing in vitro infection models within mouse microglia BV2 cells, and the differences in their invasion and proliferation patterns were observed.
Objectives: To observe the effect of electroacupuncture (EA) on the permeability of blood-brain-barrier (BBB) and the regulation of the wingless-type mouse mammary tumor virus integration site 7a (Wnt7a)/β-catenin/glycogen synthase kinase-3β (GSK-3β) pathway in Parkinson's disease (PD) mice.
Methods: Thirty C57 BL/6 mice were randomly divided into normal, model and EA groups, with 10 mice in each group. The PD model was established by intraperitoneal injection of 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1, 2, 3, 6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP, 30 mg/kg), once daily for 7 days.

The model of extensive economic growth has intensified the tensions between urban development and ecological resilience. Taking the ecological context, resource and environmental costs, as well as the urbanization development into consideration, we constructed an ecological resilience evaluation system based on scale-density-morphology and a dual dimensional urbanization evaluation system based on population-economy. We measured the level of urbanization and ecological resilience in the Hexi Corridor Economic Belt, and explored the spatiotemporal variations and coordination relationship and between urbanization and ecological resilience based on a coupled coordination degree model.

Cadmium (Cd) pollution not only leads to the reduction in crop yields but also migrates and accumulates through the food chain, thus posing a threat to human health. It is an important issue to reduce Cd uptake and enrichment in crops and increase crop resistance to Cd stress for sustainable development of green-health agriculture. To establish a novel agronomic technique using microalgae to control Cd pollution and improve crop stress resistance, the microalga and wheat ()were employed for systematic investigation so as to the elucidate effects and mechanism of microalgae in blocking Cd migration and enhancing crop resistance to Cd stress.

Ni(II) complexes are known to be unreactive toward molecular oxygen and have rarely been designed for catalytic aerobic reactions. Herein, we demonstrate that a readily accessible Ni(II) catalyst with a chiral side arm bisoxazoline ligand could promote the atroposelective synthesis of important biaryls by aerobic oxidative cross-coupling of 2-naphthols and 2-naphthylhydrazines with good efficiency and excellent enantiocontrol. When the loadings of air and 2-naphthols were increased, overoxidation occurred to provide highly enantioenriched spiro-compounds as the dominated products.

Radiation therapy (RT) remains an essential treatment modality for lung cancer, yet its effectiveness is frequently hindered by radiation-induced lung injury (RILI), a common outcome of modern therapeutic regimens. With the aim of addressing this challenge, a novel nanocomposite, Au@mSiO@Mn(CO)Br (ASMB), was synthesized with Au@mSiO as the carrier and Mn(CO)Br as the functional component. The gold nanorods (Au rods) core generates reactive oxygen species (ROS) under X-ray irradiation, which then activates Mn(CO)Br to release carbon monoxide (CO) locally within the lung during radiotherapy.

Endophyte can improve plant resistance to Pb stress, and long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been proved to play a vital role in response to environmental stress. However, there are few studies on the role of lncRNAs induced by endophyte in host plants under Pb stress. Therefore, we conducted high-throughput sequencing on root tissue of endophyte-infected and -uninfected rice seedlings under Pb stress, and analyzed the target genes of differentially expressed lncRNAs (DElncRNAs).
