A critical barrier to commercializing solid-state batteries lies in the inadequate performance of existing solid electrolytes, particularly their poor conductivity at room temperature and unsatisfactory long-term stability. In this context, a self-healing composite solid electrolyte based on succinonitrile (SCN) reinforced with lithium lanthanum titanate (LLTO) is introduced. Leveraging the increased interfacial lithium-ion (Li) transport channels in composite systems, the resultant LLTO-enhanced SCN electrolyte demonstrates remarkable ionic conductivity of 2.

Jupiter's Galilean moons orbit within its intense radiation environment and can act both as sources and sinks of energetic particles. Using observations from the Juno spacecraft, we identify large-scale depletions of energetic electrons along Europa's orbit.

Background: Epilepsy is a serious recurrent neurological dysfunction, and its incidence is increasing sharply, often causing social dysfunction in patients and causing heavy economic and caregiving burdens to families and society. At present, most drugs used in the clinical treatment of epilepsy have serious side effects, such as liver and kidney function damage, psychological and physiological damage, and drug dependence.
Methods: The antiepileptic effect of gastrodin (GAS, a natural compound isolated from Gastrodia elata Blume) was studied in a PTZ-induced epilepsy rat model.
Fe-based photo-Fenton process is widely used to remove antibiotic in wastewater, however, the synthesis of efficient and stable catalysts to solve the problems of Fe/Fe ions cycling and iron sludge formation of FeS-based catalysts is challenging. Herein, a strategy combining mechanical activation and pyrolysis was proposed to construct a novel FeS/amorphous carbon nitride (2D/2D FeS/ACN) composite with a two-dimensional (2D) stacked structure, where the FeS and ACN connected by Fe-N bonds. The removal rates of oxytetracycline, tetracycline, and chlorotetracycline over 2D/2D FeS/ACN both surpassed 96.

Methanolysis demonstrates significant industrial potential due to the ease of separation and purification of its depolymerization product, dimethyl terephthalate (DMT). However, conventional methanolysis processes for PET typically require harsh conditions (>200 °C and 2-4 MPa), highlighting the need for more efficient and milder methods.

Objective: This study aims to explore the comprehensive care needs of family caregivers of stroke patients with disabilities within the Chinese cultural context.
The mechanical stability of the catalytic electrodes used for hydrogen evolution reactions (HER) is crucial for their industrial applications in anion exchange membrane water electrolysis (AEM-WE). This study develops a corrosion strategy to construct a self-supported electrocatalyst (Int-Ni/MoO) with high mechanical stability by anchoring the Ni/MoO catalytic layer with a dense interlayer of MoO nanoparticles. The Int-Ni/MoO exhibits a strengthened homostructural interface between the interlayer and catalytic layer, preventing the detachment of the catalyst during ultrasonic treatment.

However, the massive amount of bubbles resulted in insufficient mass transfer and unevenly distributed local stress, which poses a major challenge in designing an efficient and robust hydrogen evolution catalyst. Herein, a facile chemical corrosion method is developed to synthesize an interlayer-anchored NiMo/MoO catalyst on a nickel foam (NF) substrate (NiMo/Int/NF) with high hydrogen evolution activity (overpotential of 80.

However, the low productivity and selectivity of bioactive 1,4-NADH limit its broad applications. The hydrogenation of NAD to 1,4-NADH at the electrode surface is strongly coupled to the conformation of adsorbed NAD*, the formation of adsorbed hydrogen (H), and the H transfer to NAD*.

However, highly selective synthesis of a specific C compound, such as tartronic acid (TA), by glycerol electrooxidation remains a big challenge due to the competitive dehydrogenation between CH(OH) and CH(OH). Herein this study reports a glycerol electrochemical oxidation reaction (GEOR) for the selective production of TA, which is catalyzed by a single-atom rhodium catalyst supported on indium oxide (Rh-InO) in an alkaline medium.

The industrial development of BiVO photoanode-based photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting is constrained by the poor stability of the BiVO photoanode. However, the effect of phosphorus (P) in commonly used electrolytes on BiVO photoanode stability and the associated mechanism are still scarce. Herein, we investigate the effects of different P-containing electrolytes on the PEC performance of BiVO, as well as the changes in the composition, microstructure, light-absorption properties, and carrier transport and separation efficiencies of BiVO between before and after the reaction.

Methods: Clinical data of endometrial cancer patients admitted to the First People's Hospital of Qinzhou City from October 2015 to January 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. A total of 280 patients were included, randomly split into a training set (202 cases) and a validation set (78 cases) in a 7:3 ratio using RStudio software.
Glioblastoma is highly aggressive and resistant to treatment, making it crucial to understand the regulatory mechanisms underlying its invasion. LIN7A, a polar protein, has been implicated in tumor cell migration and invasion, but its role in glioblastoma remains unclear. This study aimed to manipulate LIN7A gene expression in U87 cells, analyze its impact on invasion, and explore the potential mechanisms through which LIN7A regulates glioblastoma cell invasion.

Herein, we propose a facile, atomic-efficient, and eco-friendly strategy for synthesizing a trinity chitosan-based flame retardant, phosphite-protonated chitosan (PCS). The chemical structure was systematically analyzed and the impact of varying degrees of protonation on the dissolution behavior and rheological properties were investigated.

Few studies, however, have examined these factors simultaneously. This study investigated how irritability and aggression jointly manifested during childhood and whether such manifestations, PCV, and their interactions were associated with late-adolescent violence.

The enhancement of catalytic activity can be achieved by removing non-active components from the surface of catalyst materials, thereby increasing the accessibility of active sites. In this study, an electrically driven method is described for the removal of non-active phosphorus (P) to optimize the surface composition of iron-nickel phosphide (denoted as P-O-NFF), resulting in the exposure of more active Fe-Ni sites for oxygen evolution reaction (OER). The optimized P-O-NFF electrode exhibits exceptional OER catalytic activity, with an overpotential of 217 mV at 10 mA cm.

Here in this study, we simultaneously optimized the selectivity and activity for acetylene semi-hydrogenation by rationally and continuously varying the doping ratio of Zn atoms on the surface of Pd particles in Pd/ZnO catalysts. In the reaction temperature range of 40-200 °C, the conversion of acetylene was close to ∼100%, and the selectivity for ethylene exceeded 90% (the highest ethylene selectivity, ∼98%).
