Here, we report a simple solvent-free strategy for preparing blue-green room-temperature phosphorescent carbon dot-based composites by heat treating terephthalic acid (TPA) and boric acid (BA) at 250 °C. The designed composites (CDs@BO) exhibit an ultralong lifetime of 1.768 s, lasting over 25 s to the naked eye, concurrently with a photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of 33.

Feline astroviruses (FeAstVs) have been increasingly detected in cats in recent years, yet their isolation and pathogenicity remain poorly characterized. In this study, we screened 86 feline diarrheal samples and identified FeAstV in 9.3% (8/86) of the cases, most of which were co-infected with feline parvovirus (FPV).

Methods: This retrospective cross-sectional study investigates the spatial distribution patterns of HRMs subtypes and their integrative relationships with retinal microvascular architecture, structural remodeling, and systemic metabolic parameters in 205 DR eyes. HRMs were systematically classified via multimodal optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) analysis, incorporating topographic localization (inner vs.
Apigenin and sodium butyrate have been reported to help alleviate oxidative stress. This study evaluated the jejunal transcriptomic responses in ducks receiving apigenin and sodium butyrate supplementation under oxidative stress. In total, 200 healthy 300-day-old female Jinyun Ma ducks (1.

Rationale: Chronic lymphoproliferative disorder of natural killer cells is a rare heterogeneous indolent hematological disease, characterized by persistent clonal increase of mature NK cells with a typical large granular lymphocyte pattern. Chronic lymphoproliferative disorder of natural killer cells was revised to NK-large granular lymphocytic leukemia (NK-LGLL) in 2022 WHO classification. Renal involvement in NK-LGLL is extremely rare.

Nevertheless, the realization of long-lived RTP materials remains challenging due to the spin-prohibited character of the triplet exciton transition. In this study, the bright yellow phosphorescence carbon dot-based composites imbedded in a BO matrix (CDs@BO) have been synthesized, and the lifetimes of up to 1.

This review aimed to explore how China has established the link among agriculture, nutrition, and multiple goals through a system approach over the past decade. A scoping review method was used to analyze the recent research trajectory in China, with a specific focus on research on agrifood systems and improved human nutrition in China from 2014 to 2023.

The appropriate selection of anions and cations for the formation of ILs eliminates the problems of solid drugs and retains the core ideal characteristics of the ionic liquid material state. In this study, API-ILs were prepared using matrine (Mat) as a cation and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) as anions to improve the undesirable properties of NSAIDs and prepare API-ILs with dual functions.

The hydrogel was synthesized by integrating cyan fluorescent CDs, derived from penicillamine and m-phenylenediamine, with carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and sodium alginate (SA), which was then mixed with acrylamide (AM). The resulting CDs-SCH hydrogel was extensively characterized, focusing on its morphology, chemical structure, and fluorescence behavior.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAnode-free lithium metal batteries are promising toward high-energy-density power sources with low-cost, but their practical applications are challenged by poor cycling stability and low rate capability. Herein, a shape change-free and lithium-free anode that well controls the reversible Li plating-stripping is reported, which is composed of a highly-ordered hollow ZnO matrix with a surface-coated lithium-phosphorus-oxynitride (LiPON) layer. The ZnO matrix supplies sufficient cavities and lithiophilic sites to facilitate uniform Li plating/stripping within the hollow cavity, while the LiPON layer maintains stable solid-electrolyte interphase from mechanical and electrochemical damage.

Two HIMD molecules are linked through N-H···O hydrogen bonds to form a dimer, which spontaneously self-assembles into a grid structure via O-H···O hydrogen bonds. The addition of linear pyridine derivatives (BP and Bispy) can break some of the O-H···O hydrogen bonds, allowing these pyridine molecules to insert between the dimer columns.

However, in recent years, research on the potential association between infection and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) has been scarce. This large-scale multicenter study, covering more than 360 hospitals across 26 medical systems in the United States, systematically evaluated the association between infection and MASH.

However, the development is greatly hindered by inadequate photo absorption and severe photoexcited carriers recombination. Herein, a photonic crystal sulfide heterojunction structure is designed as a bifunctional electrode scaffold for photoassisted Li-S batteries.

Porous polymer structures are frequently employed for radiative cooling by leveraging the refractive index mismatch between the polymer and the pores, enabling the scattering of incoming sunlight. Recently, water-soluble and readily available Sodium chloride (NaCl) particles have been utilized as sacrificial templates for sustainable pore creation.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFInfrared (IR) radiation thermography is extensively utilized in diverse fields due to its non-contact capability. Nevertheless, its effectiveness is often compromised by the significant emissivity variations among different objects, limiting its application to specific setups or focused object types. Colorimetric thermography is introduced as an alternative emissivity-independent method of radiation thermometry.

Flexible strain sensors are broadly investigated in electronic skins and human-machine interaction due to their light weight, high sensitivity, and wide sensing range. Hydrogels with unique three-dimensional network structures are widely used in flexible strain sensors for their exceptional flexibility and adaptability to mechanical deformation. However, hydrogels often suffer from damage, hardening, and collapse under harsh conditions, such as extreme temperatures and humidity levels, which lead to sensor performance degradation or even failure.

Background: Diabetic retinopathy (DR), the principal cause of acquired blindness among the working-age population, is the most frequent microvascular complication of diabetes. Although metabolic disorders are hypothesized to play a role in its pathogenesis, the underlying mechanism remains largely elusive.
Methods: To elucidate the mechanism, we initially compared metabolite profiles of vitreous fluid between 23 patients with DR and 12 non-diabetic controls using liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry, identifying the distinct metabolite indoxyl sulfate (IS).
Background: The remission rate of myeloperoxidase (MPO)-antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)-associated vasculitis (AAV) patients who received standard induction therapy is far from satisfactory. Improving the remission rate of MPO-AAV patients is essential. Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ), one of the classic antimalarial drugs, has been widely used in various autoimmune rheumatic diseases.

Chloro-haloacetonitrile (Cl-HAN), belongs to a group of nitrogenous disinfection by-products (N-DBPs) found in surface water, and are known to pose a major risk to the safety of human drinking water. However, the exact biological toxicity mechanism and the extent of the stress response caused by Cl-HAN remain unclear, resulting in a lack of effective measures to control its presence. Thus, the quantitative toxicological genomics and bioinformatics methods were applied to explore the effects of three chloro-haloacetonitriles (Cl-HANs) on the transcription of fusion genes under varying concentrations of stress in E.
