Purpose: The present study was carried out to evaluate the radioprotective activities of N-acetyl-L-tryptophan (L-NAT) using rodent and non-human primate (NHP) models.
Materials And Methods: The antagonistic effect of L-NAT on the Transient receptor potential vanilloid-1 (TRPV1) receptor and substance P inhibition was determined using molecular docking and Elisa assays. The in radioprotective activity of L-NAT was evaluated using whole-body survival assays in mice and NHPs.
In this study, a novel ligand, benzilmonoximethiocarbohydrazide-O-methoxybenzaldehyde (HBMToMB), was synthesized and subsequently complexed with Cu(II), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II), and Mn(II) ions. The metal complexes were comprehensively characterized using techniques such as NMR, IR, Mass Spectrometry, UV-Vis, elemental analysis (CHNS), and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The complexes exhibited superior antibacterial and antifungal activity compared to the free ligand.

Material And Methods: The following information was collected from all the participants: (1) anthropometric data, (2) biochemical data, and (3) a lifestyle questionnaire on sociodemographic data, dietary practices, smoking, and alcohol intake to identify their risk factors for diabetes mellitus, CVD, and hypertension.
