Background: Cardioprotective response of ischaemic postconditioning (iPoCo) is blunted in conditions of vascular endothelial dysfunction (ED) associated with hypercholesterolaemia, diabetes, hypertension, etc.
Objective: The current study investigates the effect of metformin on the blunted cardioprotective response of iPoCo in rats subjected to high fat diet (HFD).
Methodology: Wistar rats were subjected to HFD for 56 days.
Cardiomyopathy refers to disorders marked by structural and functional irregularities in the heart muscle, occurring independently of other conditions that might explain these abnormalities. The most common types are dilated and hypertrophic cardiomyopathies, while Takotsubo, restrictive, left ventricular non-compaction, and arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathies are rarer. These conditions cause ventricular hypertrophy, fibrosis, myocardial dysfunction, and chamber dilation due to responses to stressors such as pressure overload, myocardial infarction, inflammation, diabetes, and cardiotoxic drugs.

Based on the data recorded in unsprayed conditions at 13 different locations of north, central and south cotton growing zone between 2007 and 2023, initiation of green boll damage during later part of the season was observed on Bt cotton genotype during 2009-2014 wherein incidence of PBW already existed on non-Bt genotype. In our research, between 2014 and 2017, the central and southern regions of India experienced a rise in the survival of pink bollworms on Bt cotton surpassing the Economic Threshold Level (ETL) whereas in the north zone PBW incidence started in 2018 at experimental locations.

Our approach relies solely on structural patterns of the molecules as features for algorithmic treatment and uses conditional probabilities combined with tf-idf values. In addition to the prediction of molecular odor, OWSum provides insights into properties of the dataset and allows to understand how algorithmic classifications are reached by quantitatively assigning structural patterns to odors.

We derive analytical expressions for the efficiency and coefficient of performance of the Otto cycle. For the case of adiabatic driving, we point out that in the low-temperature regime, the harmonic Otto engine (refrigerator) can be mapped to Feynman's ratchet and pawl model which is a steady-state classical heat engine.
