Ovarian clear cell carcinoma (OCCC) represents a rare and aggressive subtype of epithelial ovarian cancer with distinctive clinical and molecular characteristics. However, the identification, origin, and molecular features of the malignant epithelial cells in OCCC remain poorly studied. We establish an OCCC-associated transcriptional landscape using single-cell RNA sequencing and investigated the properties of epithelial cells in tissues from normal ovaries, ovarian endometriosis, primary OCCC and recurrent OCCC to assess the status of malignant epithelial cells.

Cerebral cavernous malformations (CCM) present prevalent vascular diseases of the central nervous system, which can result in hemorrhage and seizures. Metformin, a first-line antidiabetic with established safety profiles, demonstrates pleiotropic effects, including the inhibition of cellular proliferation, inflammation, and angiogenesis, all of which are implicated in the pathogenesis of CCM. However, the therapeutic benefits of metformin in the realm of CCM remain unclear.

To better understand the potential health threats and underlying visual pathways of long-term light at night (LAN) exposure, we adopted a widely accepted diurnal animal model tree shrew (), which is a close relative to primates, and evaluated the deleterious effects of long-term LAN exposure. We used an early-night LAN paradigm that was established in mice to examine behavioral and physiological consequences in adult male tree shrews. We found that 3-wk LAN exposure significantly impaired the mood and long-term memory of tree shrews without affecting the general activity pattern.

Purpose: Hereditary colorectal cancer syndromes remain incompletely understood, with many cases lacking defined genetic causes. This study aimed to identify pathogenic mutations associated with hereditary colorectal cancer and explore their potential for targeted therapies.
Experimental Design: This observational study was conducted in Yunnan Province, China.
This study aims to explore how exercise enhances mitochondrial regulation and mitigates pathological cardiac hypertrophy. Rat groups were assigned as the control group (CN, n = 8), sham group (sham, n = 8), model group (SC, n = 16) and exercise group (SE, n = 20). A bioinformatics analysis was conducted to uncover the underlying mechanisms.

Spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs) play crucial roles in the preservation of male fertility. However, successful ex vivo expansion of authentic human SSCs remains elusive due to the inadequate understanding of SSC homeostasis regulation. Using rhesus monkeys (Macaca mulatta) as a representative model, we characterized SSCs and progenitor subsets through single-cell RNA sequencing using a cell-specific network approach.

SMARCB1/SMARCA4-deficient malignancies of the female genital tract are rare entities, characterized by similar histologic features, such as sheet-like growth patterns and rhabdoid cells. Previous studies have shown mutually exclusive loss of SMARCA4/BRG1 and SMARCB1/INI1. Herein, we describe a unique cervical mixed carcinoma in a 77-year-old patient.

Objectives: We explored Trichorhinophalangeal syndrome type 1 (TRPS1) expression in special types of breast carcinoma, and analyzed the correlation between TRPS1 and androgen receptor (AR) expression in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC).
Methods: TRPS1 expression was analyzed in 801 patients with special types of breast carcinoma. A total of 969 TNBC were used to analyze the correlation between the expression of TRPS1 and AR.
The tree shrew ( ) has long been proposed as a suitable alternative to non-human primates (NHPs) in biomedical and laboratory research due to its close evolutionary relationship with primates. In recent years, significant advances have facilitated tree shrew studies, including the determination of the tree shrew genome, genetic manipulation using spermatogonial stem cells, viral vector-mediated gene delivery, and mapping of the tree shrew brain atlas. However, the limited availability of tree shrews globally remains a substantial challenge in the field.

Purpose: Genetic variants of ovarian cancer (OV) show ethnic differences, but data from the Chinese population are still insufficient. Here, we elucidate the inheritance landscape in Chinese patients with OV and examine the functional implications of a Chinese-enriched variant.
Methods: Between 2015 and 2018, 373 consecutive patients with OV were prospectively enrolled.
Background: Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), an aggressive and heterogenic malignant entity, is still a challenging clinical problem, since around one-third of patients are not cured with primary treatment. Next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies have revealed common genetic mutations in DLBCL. We devised an NGS multi-gene panel to discover genetic features of Chinese nodal DLBCL patients and provide reference information for panel-based NGS detection in clinical laboratories.

We have previously shown that butyrate enhances the ferroptosis induced by erastin in lung cancer cell, this study aimed to investigate the impact of butyrate on the progression of lung CSCs. To investigate these effects, we constructed a series of experiments, including 3D non-adherent sphere-formation, cytometry analysis, assessment of CSC marker expression, cell migration assay, and tumorigenesis analyses.

Background: Accumulation studies found that tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) are a predominant cell in tumor microenvironment (TME), which function essentially during tumor progression. By releasing bioactive molecules, including circRNA, small extracellular vesicles (sEV) modulate immune cell functions in the TME, thereby affecting non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) progression. Nevertheless, biology functions and molecular mechanisms of M2 macrophage-derived sEV circRNAs in NSCLC are unclear.

Our study aimed to explore the relationship between different HER2 fluorescence in situ hybridisation (FISH) patterns in HER2-positive patients with breast cancer and responses to anti-HER2 NACT.
Methods: 527 patients with HER2-positive invasive breast cancer who received anti-HER2 NACT from 2015 to 2022 were included and divided into three groups by FISH results, namely group A: HER2/CEP17<2.

The expression of P450 genes is regulated by -regulatory factors or -regulatory elements and influences how endogenous or xenobiotic substances are metabolized in an organism's tissues. In this study, we showed that overexpression of the cytochrome P450 gene, , led to resistance to cyantraniliprole in . The expression of increased in the midgut and remaining carcass of the CyR strain, and after repressing the expression of , the mortality of cotton aphids increased 2.
