The Moon's KREEP component-rich in potassium (K), rare earth elements (REE), and phosphorus (P)-is considered a critical heat source sustaining prolonged volcanic activity. However, Chang'e mission samples reveal a lack of KREEP signatures in the sources of mare basalt erupted ∼2.8 and 2.

The Moon's early history remains enigmatic, with intensive debate over the timing and duration of the lunar magma ocean (LMO) and its consequences on the early thermal and chemical evolution of the Moon. Here, we report a lead-lead isochron age of 4406.1 ± 3.

Water is the one of most precious resources for planetary utilisation. Lunar nearside impact glass beads (IGBs) have been demonstrated to contain abundant solar wind-derived water (SW-HO); however, little is known about its farside counterpart. Here, we report the water abundances and hydrogen isotope compositions and their distribution in farside IGBs collected by the Chang'e-6 mission to investigate the role of IGBs in the lunar surface water cycle.

Here, we identify primitive lunar olivines in soils returned by the Chang'e-6 mission. These olivines have oxygen isotopic compositions plotting along the terrestrial fractionation line, and are characterized by high forsterite contents up to 95.

However, the pathogenesis of POCD remains unclear. In the last decades, lactate's neuroprotective properties have been increasingly mentioned.

Previous work has suggested that these rocks formed in one or more pre-Imbrium basin forming impact(s). By contrast, recent ages determined for a range of lunar breccias provide compelling evidence that the Imbrium basin was formed at approximately 3920 Ma.

This study focuses on optimizing gas parameters and developing robust correction strategies to improve the accuracy of δC measurements. Experimental results demonstrate that the introduction of nitrogen gas at a flow rate of 4-6 mL/min effectively doubles signal sensitivity while optimizing low helium (0.

Factor XI deficiency is a rare inherited coagulation disorder with an estimated prevalence of affecting 1 in 1 million. It is characterized by mild and variable bleeding phenotypes, including bruises, nosebleeds, hematuria, and postpartum hemorrhage. It can be caused by either allelic or biallelic variants in ().

Cratering chronology established for the lunar nearside has been used to suggest long-lived volcanism on the farside of the Moon but without sample verification. We describe two episodes of basaltic volcanism identified by Pb-Pb dating of basalt fragments returned by the Chang'e-6 mission.

Background: 5-10% of thyroid cancers are at locally advanced stage. Neoadjuvant targeted therapy will likely create surgical opportunities for these patients with unresectable or borderline resectable tumors. Pralsetinib, a RET inhibitor, has been approved for advanced or metastatic RET-altered thyroid cancer.

Magma fountains produce volcanic glasses, which have previously been found in samples of the Moon's surface. We investigated ~3000 glass beads in lunar soil samples collected by the Chang'e-5 mission and identified three as having a volcanic origin on the basis of their textures, chemical compositions, and sulfur isotopes.

Deep carbon cycle is crucial for mantle dynamics and maintaining Earth's habitability. Recycled carbonates are a strong oxidant in mantle carbon-iron redox reactions, leading to the formation of highly oxidized mantle domains and deep carbon storage. Here we report high Fe/∑Fe values in Cenozoic intraplate basalts from eastern China, which are correlated with geochemical and isotopic compositions that point to a common role of carbonated melt with recycled carbonate signatures.

Background: A solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) is often located in the pleura, while SFT of the pancreas is extremely rare. Here, we report a case of SFT of the pancreas and discuss imaging, histopathology, and immunohistochemistry for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Case Summary: A 54-year-old man presented to our hospital with pancreatic occupancy for over a month.
Background: Elderly patients experience postoperative cognitive impairment frequently; therefore, effective interventions are urgently needed. Central nervous inflammation characterized by microglia may promote the progression of POCD by reducing synaptic plasticity. Notably, clinical studies revealed that the incidence of female patients was significantly lower than that of male patients.

Light yellowish-white colonies of a bacterial strain, designated LNNU 24178, were isolated from the rhizosphere soil of halophyte (Bunge) Freitag and Schütze grown at Shihezi district, Xinjiang, PR China. Cells were Gram-stain-negative, non-flagellum-forming, rod-shaped and non-motile. The results of phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence indicated that LNNU 24178 represented a member of the genus and shared the highest sequence similarity with CGMCC 1.

However, given the sparse geological record of early Earth, the timing of first supracrustal recycling is controversial. Silicon and oxygen isotopes have been used as indicators of crustal evolution on Archean igneous rocks and minerals to trace supracrustal recycling but with variable results.

Exercise promotes learning and memory by releasing lactate from the muscle. The study tested the hypothesis that lactate may improve long-term cognitive impairment induced by repeated neonatal exposures to sevoflurane through SIRT1-mediated regulation of adult hippocampal neurogenesis and synaptic plasticity.

To verify this, the effects of external electric fields on the initiation reactions in NHNO∙∙∙NH, a model system of the nitroamine explosive with alkaline additive, were investigated at the MP2/6-311++G(2d,p) and CCSD(T)/6-311++G(2d,p) levels. The concerted effect in the intermolecular hydrogen exchange is characterized by an index of the imaginary vibrations.

Background: Endocardial fibroelastosis (EFE) is a diffuse endocardial collagen and elastin hyperplasia disease of unknown etiology, which may be accompanied by myocardial degenerative changes leading to acute or chronic heart failure. However, acute heart failure (AHF) without obvious associated triggers is rare. Prior to the report of endomyocardial biopsy, the diagnosis and treatment of EFE are highly susceptible to being confounded with other primary cardiomyopathies.

The transmission electron microscopy (TEM) specimen with thickness in nanometer scale is susceptible to hydrocarbon contamination and oxidation, and the specimen holder is also susceptible to contaminants, which would deteriorate the quality of TEM imaging and degrade the efficiency of TEM experiments. Conventional pretreatment devices often have limited functions and low practicability, which may cause problems for TEM specimens and holders. In this work, a multifunctional apparatus for plasma cleaning and storage of TEM specimens and specimen holders is developed based on the specific design of the vacuum joints.
