Radix isatidis polysaccharide (RIPs), the primary bioactive constituent of Radix isatidis (Banlangen), have attracted substantial attention in traditional medicine and food industry. This review comprehensively encapsulates the recent advancement in the extraction, purification, structural characterization, bioactivities and potential applications of RIPs. A plethora of extraction methods for RIPs have been summarized.

However, current research on COPs is hindered by inefficient extraction, unclear structure-activity relationships and ambiguous biological mechanisms. This review comprehensively summarizes the recent advances in extraction techniques, highlighting that combined extraction methods, such as microwave- or enzyme- assisted extraction can effectively enhance yields while preserve the structure of COPs.

TCM is the core and basis of traditional medicine in clinical practice for numerous diseases, and performs important function in nutraceuticals and dietary supplements. However, it is extremely difficult to extract each active ingredient from TCM to elucidate the mechanism of TCM clinical efficacy due to numerous compounds in TCM, especially trace compounds.

The created dual-network polymer hydrogels exhibit anti-swelling properties, frost resistance, high conductivity, and good mechanical performance. The hydrogel swells sightly when immersed in solution (pH = 2~11).

The cooking loss, Warner-Bratzler shear force, meat color, texture, thiobarbituric acid reactive substance, total carbonyl content (TCC), total sulfhydryl content (TSC), and structural properties of yak meat under frying, drying, and boiling were measured. The results showed that the cooking loss rate, shear force, L* value, hardness, elasticity, and chewiness of yak meat increased (p < .

The formation of the SH-β-cyclodextrin/gold nanoparticles coated capillary was confirmed and characterized by scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectrometry. The results of scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectrometry studies indicated that SH-β-cyclodextrin/gold nanoparticles were successfully coated on the inner wall of the capillary column.

Butyrolactone I, one of the major secondary metabolites of fungus , is a selective cdc2 kinase inhibitor. In the present study, the metabolism of butyrolactone I in male Wistar rats was investigated by characterising metabolites excreted into faeces. Following an oral dose of 40 mg/kg butyrolactone I, two phase I metabolites were isolated from the faeces of rat.

Background And Objective: Isocorynoxeine (IC), a major alkaloid found in Uncaria rhynchophylla, exhibits wide beneficial effects on the cardiovascular and cardiocerebral vascular systems. Its metabolic pathway, however, has not been well studied yet. In this study, an ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography/quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (U-HPLC/Q-TOFMS) method was developed to investigate IC metabolism in plasma, urine and bile in rats given IC orally at 40 mg/kg.
