Psychometric properties of the questionnaire for assessing the childbirth experience in a Chinese sample of postpartum women.

Background: The objective of this paper was to test the psychometric properties of the questionnaire for assessing the childbirth experience (QACE) among Chinese postpartum women.

Methods: Research instruments included the demographic characteristics form, the QACE, the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS), and the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7). The item analysis, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), known-groups discriminant validity, divergent validity, and internal consistency reliability were assessed for the psychometric properties of QACE.

Clinical effect and prognostic factor of electric stimulation and biofeedback therapy on postpartum pelvic organ prolapse.

Objective: To explore the effects of electric stimulation and biofeedback therapy in patients with postpartum pelvic organ prolapse and to identify factors that can affect therapeutic efficacy outcomes.

Method: This retrospective study analysed clinical data about patients with postpartum pelvic organ prolapse. A total of 328 women with pelvic organ prolapse at 6 weeks postpartum were recruited from one tertiary hospitals in Sichuan province in China, between March 2019 and March 2022.

Methods: Data were obtained from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey cycles spanning from 1999 to 2002 and again from 2011 to 2014.

Background: Cognitive impairment (CoI), chronic kidney disease (CKD), and depression are prevalent among older adults and are interrelated, imposing a significant disease burden. This study evaluates the association of CKD and depression with CoI and explores their potential interactions.

Method: Data for this study were sourced from the 2011-2014 National Health and Nutritional Examination Survey (NHANES).

Early identification of bloodstream infection in hemodialysis patients by machine learning.

Background: Bloodstream infection (BSI) is a prevalent cause of admission in hemodialysis (HD) patients and is associated with increased morbidity and mortality. This study aimed to establish a diagnostic, predictive model for the early identification of BSI in HD patients.

Methods: HD patients who underwent blood culture testing between August 2018 and March 2022 were enrolled in this study.

Maize (Zea mays) terpenoid phytoalexins (MTPs) induced by multiple fungi display extensive antimicrobial activities, yet how maize precisely regulates MTP accumulation upon pathogen infection remains elusive. In this study, pretreatment with jasmonic acid (JA)/ethylene (ET)-related inhibitors significantly reduced Fusarium graminearum-induced MTP accumulation and resulted in enhanced susceptibility to F. graminearum, indicating the involvement of JA/ET in MTP regulatory network.

The Efficacy and Safety of Infliximab in Refractory Noninfectious Uveitis: A Meta-Analysis of Observational Studies.

Although infliximab has been recommended for the second-line treatment of seronegative spondyloarthropathy- or juvenile idiopathic arthritis-related uveitis, the issue of its systemic efficacy and safety in a broader diversity of refractory noninfectious uveitis is debatable. To assess the short-term and relatively long-term efficacy of infliximab in refractory noninfectious uveitis, we performed a systematic review and meta-analysis of observational studies. PubMed, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, and Wanfang Med Online were systematically searched from January 2005 to March 2020.

Rituximab in the treatment of immune-mediated necrotizing myopathy: a review of case reports and case series.

Immune-mediated necrotizing myopathy (IMNM) is a group of immune-related myopathies characterized by progressive proximal muscle weakness, extremely high serum creatine kinase (CK) levels, and necrotic muscle fibers with a relative lack of inflammation. Treatment of IMNM is challenging, with most cases refractory to high-dose steroids in combination with multiple immunotherapies. The role of rituximab (RTX) for IMNM has been explored in isolated case reports and small series.

The Role of Mycophenolate Mofetil for the Induction of Remission in ANCA-Associated Vasculitis: A Meta-Analysis.

The successful introduction of mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) as a treatment for renal allograft reduced the incidence of acute rejection. The inspiring effects obtained by the MMF have led to an evaluation of its therapeutic potency on ANCA-associated vasculitis (AAV). However, there is little evidence of the MMF's efficacy on the AAV.

Estimation of soil organic carbon storage based on digital soil mapping technique.

Accurate spatial distribution information of soil properties would be helpful for improving the accuracy of soil organic carbon storage estimation. In this study, terrain factors were used as predictors, and the fuzzy C-means (FCM) clustering method was used to make digital soil prediction mapping for soil organic carbon content, soil bulk density, soil depth, and soil gravel content in Nanshan forest farm in Jiyuan City of Henan Province. Based on the digital mapping results, the prediction mapping of soil organic carbon density and the estimation of soil organic carbon storage were realized.
