Respiratory infections caused by influenza A viruses (IAVs) pose a global threat annually, leading to significant mortality in severe cases. IAVs are classified into various subtypes, and a combination of multiplex reverse transcription-multiple cross displacement amplification (mRT-MCDA) and lateral flow biosensor (LFB) has been developed to detect three subtypes (H1N1, H3N2, and H7N9) that have been frequently observed in recent years. This technology simultaneously reverse transcribes and amplifies two target genes, hemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase (NA), at a constant temperature of 63 °C in just 40 min.

Emotional habituation, a basic form of neural plasticity, regulates emotions adaptively, yet its role in stress resilience remains unclear. This study integrated laboratory-based EEG habituation measures and ecological experience sampling to examine valence-specific habituation as a resilience factor against daily life stress in 69 undergraduates. Polymeric nanofibrous membranes are promising candidates for highly efficient oily wastewater separation, however, they suffer from irreversible membrane fouling. Herein, hydrophilic β-ketoenamine-linked covalent organic frameworks (COFs)-modified polyacrylonitrile (PAN) nanofibrous membranes (PNMs-COF) are developed, and the microstructures and hydrophilicities of the membranes are finely tailored. The hydrophilic rigid COF armor can induce the formation of hydrogen bonds with water, increase the polar component of the apparent surface tension, enhancing the driving force toward water and increasing the repulsion against oil droplets.

A base-catalyzed addition of quinazolinones to unsymmetrical trifluoromethylated internal alkynes was accomplished for straightforward access to various N3-vinylquinazolinones. Excellent chemo-, regio-, and stereoselectivity were achieved along with moderate to good efficacy for broad substrate scope under environmentally benign conditions. Moreover, N3-vinylquinazolinone adducts could be readily transformed into a useful fused tetracyclic scaffold via one-step intramolecular oxidative cross-coupling.

Childhood adversity (CA) is associated with an elevated risk of psychopathology across the lifespan and altered brain functions are thought to play an important role in linking CA to mental vulnerability.
