Acute myeloid leukemia (AML), a malignant hematological stem cell disease, arises from the malignant transformation of myeloid progenitor cells. Among the genetic aberrations in AML, mutations in the tyrosine kinase receptor FLT3, especially FLT3-ITD, are most frequently detected and are correlated with poor clinical outcomes. Intriguingly, FLT3-ITD is implicated in immune escape, although the underlying mechanism remains elusive.

Chronic wound management in diabetes represents a significant global medical challenge, primarily due to the complex microenvironment of diabetic wounds. Recently, fish-skin-collagen (Co)-based hydrogels have gained attention for treating skin wounds. However, their application in diabetic wounds has been restricted by their limited antibacterial properties, mechanical strength, and thermal stability.

The skins of these sandwich panels were investigated under five different environmental conditions (normal air, water, hygrothermal, saline solution, and 80 °C elevated temperature) over seven months to evaluate their durability performance. In addition, the tensile and dynamic mechanical properties of those sandwich panels were studied.

Objectives: This study aimed to determine the epidemiological characteristics of drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB) and investigate the risk factors associated with multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) in Sichuan, China.
Methods: The study involved 5180 clinical isolates collected from Sichuan since 2013, with non-tuberculous mycobacteria excluded. Drug susceptibility testing was conducted using four first-line anti-TB drugs, fluoroquinolones, and second-line injectable agents.

In recent years, the morbidity and death rate of patients with tumors have been continuously increasing. How to administer radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and other methods for reducing damage to normal tissue cells and accurately targeting the tumor is one of the key issues in solving the problem of cancer. Using nanocarriers is a feasible approach into targeted control on the release of medicine to increase patient compliance.

Near-infrared (NIR) dyes have already been well studied and displayed significant potential in cancer bioimaging and therapy due to their unique characteristics. In the present literature, we illustrated the updated NIR classification and characteristics as well as their applications in (pre-) clinical cancer imaging and treatment.

However, irAEs-induced multi-organ injuries remain a rare event. We herein report a case of multi-organ injuries induced by tislelizumab in a lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC) patient.

Purpose: Postoperative Delirium (POD) has an incidence of up to 65% in older patients undergoing cardiac surgery. We aimed to develop two dynamic nomograms to predict the risk of POD in older patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
Methods: This was a single-center retrospective cohort study, which included 531 older patients who underwent cardiac surgery from July 2021 to June 2022 at Nanjing First Hospital, China.
Background: Previous studies have suggested that psychiatric factors may be pathogenic for NAFLD. However, the association between depression and NAFLD is not been consistent, and whether depression plays a causal role in the development of NAFLD remains unclear.
Methods: We extracted data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2017-2018 to assess the correlation between depression and NAFLD risk.

Background: We aim to investigate the characteristics of invasive pulmonary aspergillosis (IPA) in patients with HBV-related acute on chronic liver failure (HBV-ACLF).
Methods: A total of 44 patients with probable IPA were selected as the case group, and another 88 patients without lung infections were chosen as the control group.
Results: HBV-ACLF patients with probable IPA had more significant 90-day mortality (38.
Background: is a nonculturable, nontuberculous mycobacterium that occasionally causes serious infections in individuals with immune deficiencies. Owing to its nonculturable nature, its antimicrobial susceptibility has not been assessed, and the optimal treatment regimen is unclear. Herein, we report a case of disseminated infection in a person with AIDS, identified using metagenomics next-generation sequencing (mNGS) and polymerase chain reaction (PCR).

The urban heat island (UHI) effect has become increasingly prevalent and significant with the accelerated pace of urbanization, posing challenges for urban planners and policymakers. To reveal the spatiotemporal variations of the urban heat island effect in Jinan City, this study utilized Landsat satellite images from 2009, 2014, and 2019, employing the classic Mono-Window algorithm to extract land surface temperature (LST). Additionally, Geodetector was introduced to conduct a detailed analysis of the relationship between LST in Jinan City and land cover types (vegetation, water bodies, and buildings).

Case Presentation: A 50-year-old male patient underwent endovascular reconstruction for an infrarenal abdominal aortic pseudoaneurysm.
Background: This study aims to implement a validated prediction model and application medium for postoperative pneumonia (POP) in elderly patients with hip fractures in order to facilitate individualized intervention by clinicians.
Methods: Employing clinical data from elderly patients with hip fractures, we derived and externally validated machine learning models for predicting POP. Model derivation utilized a registry from Nanjing First Hospital, and external validation was performed using data from patients at the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University.

Background: Gastric contents may contribute to patients' aspiration during anesthesia. Ultrasound can accurately assess the risk of gastric contents in patients undergoing sedative gastrointestinal endoscopy (GIE) procedures, but its efficiency is limited. Therefore, developing an accurate and efficient model to predict gastric contents in outpatients undergoing elective sedative GIE procedures is greatly desirable.

And previous studies have shown that preoperative oral carbohydrates (POCs) can improve the discomfort induced by fasting, but there are different perspectives on their safety. This study aimed to develop a convenient, accurate machine learning (ML) model to predict full stomach.

Textile reinforced concrete (TRC) is an innovative structure type of reinforced concrete in which the conventional steel reinforcement is replaced with fibre textile materials. The thin, cost-effective and lightweight nature enable TRC to be used to create different types of structural components for architectural and civil engineering applications. This paper presents a review of recent developments of TRC.

It regulates cholesterol, bile acid, and lipid metabolism in normal physiological processes, and it participates in the development of some related diseases. However, many studies have demonstrated that LXRα is also involved in regulating numerous human malignancies.

Destination food has been increasingly appealing to tourists within adjacent markets. This trend has been widely recognised by destination marketers; however, scholars have paid limited attention to tourists' psychological and behavioural responses to destination food. Taking Shunde as the research site, using a questionnaire-based survey method equipped with the techniques of measurement modelling, path analysis, principal component analysis, and cluster analysis, this study explores how tourists' food involvement affects their place attachment and destination loyalty, as well as the differentiation of tourists with different lifestyles.

Because of the renewed interest in irreversible inhibitors, considerable efforts have been made to find irreversible FGFR inhibitors. Herein, we discovered a series of novel quinolone-based covalent pan-FGFR inhibitors by further optimizing the lead compound () under the guidance of molecular docking.

The multifunctional regulator known as Hepatitis B virus X-protein (HBx) interacts with host factors, modulating gene transcription and signaling pathways and contributing to hepatocellular carcinogenesis. The p90 ribosomal S6 kinase 2 (RSK2) is a member of the 90 kDa ribosomal S6 kinase family involved in various intracellular processes and cancer pathogenesis.
