Beyond elaborating dedicated viral proteins that disrupt the MHC class I antigen-presentation machinery, some viruses possess intrinsic, cis-acting genome-encoded elements that interfere with antigen processing and display. These protein features, including G-quadruplex motifs, repetitive peptide sequences, and rare-codon usage, counterintuitively limit production of proteins critical to virus survival, particularly during latency.

Synthetic biology and metabolic engineering have revolutionized the microbial biosynthesis of high-value compounds, yet conventional strategies are frequently confronted with metabolic burden and flux competition. Inspired by natural systems that employ spatial organization to enhance catalytic efficiency, we have developed advanced techniques to optimize pathway performance in engineered microbes. In this study, we present a systematic implementation of spatial organization strategies─consisting of scaffold-free enzyme assembly mediated by interacting peptides and engineered protein compartments─to improve l-fucose biosynthesis in .

Background: Central post-stroke pain (CPSP) is a chronic neuropathic pain syndrome that develops following cerebrovascular injury and currently lacks effective treatment options. Previous research from our group has found a significant number of apoptotic cells in the thalamus of CPSP rats, and in the nervous system, the failure to promptly clear apoptotic cell debris can activate microglia, triggering a persistent neuroinflammatory response that contributes to the onset and progression of CPSP. Microglia clear apoptotic cells in the central nervous system through efferocytosis, a process that reduces neuroinflammation and promotes the reprogramming of microglia toward the M2 phenotype, which is crucial for immune defense and repair mechanisms in the central nervous system.

However, prior research often assumes a linear positive relationship between information exposure and legal consciousness, overlooking potential negative effects in which algorithmic biases and emotional framing in digital media may weaken legal consciousness. Existing studies rarely explore the chain mediation of political trust and social equality perceptions, particularly lacking empirical tests on Chinese college students.

The advantages of high integration density, energy efficiency, and enhanced stability make the realization of perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA) in single-layer films a crucial step toward the development of advanced spintronic devices. A theoretical study predicted that the magnetic easy axis of FeRh film would reorient from out-of-plane (OP) to in-plane (IP) directions during the antiferromagnetic-ferromagnetic (AF-FM) phase transition. However, few studies have observed an OP magnetic anisotropy in FeRh films.

Accurate spectral parameters are fundamental for the quantitative application of hyperspectral data, particularly in the automated measurement of surface characteristic parameters. With the widespread use of networked ground spectrometers, the performance of these instruments is significantly influenced by environmental conditions, making the accuracy of spectral parameters crucial for reliable radiometric measurements. In this study, we employed a combination of atmospheric absorption features and solar Fraunhofer lines to calibrate and evaluate the spectral parameters of the spectrometer, applying it to an automated measurement spectrometer at the Baotou site, one of the Radiometric Calibration Network (RadCalNet) sites.

However, the development of these materials remains a challenging task, partially due to their low singlet oxygen (O) quantum yield usually require incorporating heavy atoms and high laser power density to produce thermal energy and synergistically enhance photodynamic therapy (PDT). Concerns about potential dark toxicity of heavy atoms and the strong photothermal radiation causing acute pain significantly reduces patient compliance, hinders the broader clinical application of PDT.

Ovarian cancer remains the most lethal gynecologic malignancy, largely due to its late-stage diagnosis and immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME). A key mediator of immune evasion in ovarian cancer is the infiltration and activation of regulatory T cells (Tregs), which suppress antitumor immunity and foster therapeutic resistance. Emerging therapeutic strategies to target Tregs-such as cytokine modulation, checkpoint blockade, metabolic inhibitors, and epigenetic regulators-are critically evaluated for their potential to restore antitumor immunity.
