Unlabelled: Doxorubicin (DOX)-induced cardiotoxicity is the most prevalent adverse reaction of DOX during chemotherapy and significantly impacts its clinical application. At present, clinical interventions for mitigating DOX-induced cardiotoxicity remain sub-optimal. Mitochondria are the primary target organ of DOX-induced cardiotoxicity, which can result in cardiac mitochondrial dynamic imbalance and impaired mitochondrial autophagy.

Our study constructed a multimodal diagnostic model for papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) by integrating pathomics and ultrasound radiomics characteristics using artificial intelligence machine learning methods, aiming to improve the efficiency of pathologists. A retrospective analysis was conducted on 222 cases with postoperative diagnoses of PTC and 163 cases with postoperative diagnoses of benign thyroid nodules.

Methods: This retrospective study analyzed data from pLTX recipients aged ≤ 17 years between January 2019 and December 2023 from the China Lung Transplantation Registry. Pre-, intra-, and post-operative characteristics were described and compared between children aged 2-11 years and 12-17 years and between pLTX conducted in centers with high and low transplant volumes.
Objectives: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a prevalent neurodegenerative disorder, characterized by progressive cognitive decline. Current approved drugs merely relieve symptoms rather than halt or reverse disease progression. The role of the brain lymphatic system in clearing harmful substances in the brain has provided new insights for AD treatment.

Here, we collected a 16-month longitudinal cohort of infant gut microbiomes affected by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Then, we developed a multicriteria approach to identify core interaction network driving community dynamics under environmental disturbances, which we termed the Conserved Variated Interaction Group (CVIgroup).

The tolerance and dynamic regulation of the maternal immune system during pregnancy are pivotal for ensuring fetal health. Immune cell subsets play a complex and crucial role in this process, closely linked to the neonatal health status. Despite recognizing the significance of dysregulation in the quantity and activity of immune cells in neonatal disease occurrence, their specific roles remain elusive, resulting in a dearth of clinically viable interventions for immune-mediated neonatal diseases.

The global incidence of allergic diseases is rising and poses a substantial threat to human health. Allergenic proteins released by various allergenic species play a critical role in the pathogenesis of allergic diseases and have been widely detected in the environmental matrix. However, the release, presence and interaction of environmental allergens with human body remain to be elucidated.

This study aims to propose the utilization of pathological characteristics and imaging features to evaluate the impact of gene mutations on the prognosis of T1-4N0M0 LUAD.
Methods: Among the cases diagnosed with LUAD between April 2015 and April 2016, 438 patients with T1-4N0M0 LUAD were included, and the clinical characteristics were collected.
The reform stems from honesty and determination. Since 2005, organ donation and transplantation in China has undergone thorough reform, which complies with legislation requirements and ethical principles established by the World Health Organization (WHO). Reform in China has demonstrated the unwavering confidence and utmost determination of the Chinese government and the Chinese transplantation community.

This study aims to develop and validate machine learning (ML) models to predict AS requiring clinical intervention in patients after LTx.
Methods: Patients who underwent LTx between January 2017 and December 2019 were reviewed.

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) is a disease characterized by localized dilation of the abdominal aorta, involving multiple factors in its occurrence and development, ultimately leading to vessel rupture and severe bleeding. AAA has a high mortality rate, and there is a lack of targeted therapeutic drugs. Epigenetic regulation plays a crucial role in AAA, and the treatment of AAA in the epigenetic field may involve a series of related genes and pathways.

The green tea catechins and black tea theaflavins attracted considerable interest, and their antibacterial effects were extensively reported in the literature. Epicatechin (EC), a green tea catechin without a gallate moiety, showed no bactericidal activity, whereas the theaflavin (TF), also lacking a gallate moiety, exhibited potent bactericidal activity, and the antibacterial effects of green tea catechins and black tea theaflavins were closely correlated with their abilities to disrupt the bacterial cell membrane.

By comparing the imaging features and quantitative parameters of the TICs of neuroblastoma (NB) and ganglioneuroblastoma (GNB) patients, we attempted to identify the distinguishing points between NB and GNB. A total of 35 patients confirmed to have pNTs by pathologic examination were included in this study.

Background: Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common B-cell lymphoma in adults. CDGSH iron sulfur domain 2 (CISD2) is an iron-sulfur protein and plays a critical role of cell proliferation. The aberrant expression of CISD2 is associated with the progression of multiple cancers.

Methods: Randomized controlled trials sourced from PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library were systematically reviewed.
Microbial volatile compounds (mVCs) may cause stomatal closure to limit pathogen invasion as part of plant innate immune response. However, the mechanisms of mVC-induced stomatal closure remain unclear. In this study, we co-cultured Enterobacter aerogenes with Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) seedlings without direct contact to initiate stomatal closure.

However, the precise mechanisms underlying these actions remain to be delineated. In this study, we discovered that VCs from the soilborne fungus Tolypocladium inflatum GT22 enhance the growth of Arabidopsis.

Objectives: The oldest-old (aged ≥80 years) are the most rapidly growing population and age is related to hearing impairment (HI) and cognitive decline. We aimed to estimate the association between HI and fall, and the effect of different cognitive states on this association among the oldest-old Chinese population.
Design: A total of 6931 Chinese oldest-old were included in the 2018 cross-cohort from the Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey (CLHLS).
Meniere's disease (MD) represents one of the vertigo disorders characterized by triad symptoms (recurrent vertigo, fluctuating hearing loss, tinnitus or ear fullness). The diagnosis of MD relies on the accurate and detailed taking of medical history, and the differentiation between MD and vestibular migraine (VM) is of critical importance from the perspective of the treatment efficacy. VM is a highly prevalent vertigo condition and its typical symptoms (headache, vestibular symptoms, cochlear symptoms) mimic those of MD.
