Regional citrate anticoagulation algorithm and management protocol aimed at ensuring blood calcium stability: a prospective single-arm study.

Background: Although several regional citrate anticoagulation (RCA) algorithms have been reported, clinical data confirming their effectiveness and safety are limited. We have developed a novel RCA algorithm applicable to extensive continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) settings. The aims of this study were to evaluate the incidence of calcium and citrate abnormalities that necessitated human intervention when using this algorithm during RCA and to identify the optimal values of the coefficients and in the equations.

Using QuestionStar, a powerful online survey tool, the authors administered surveys to the participants, collected data on the mental health status and workload of support nurses, and analyzed the influencing factors based on the collected data.

Objective: Given the immense stress faced by medical staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, this study aimed to evaluate the relationship between mindful attention awareness, fatigue, and perceived symptoms among frontline nurses who performed nucleic acid sample collection during the COVID-19 pandemic, to reduce their fatigue and help them cope with perceived uncomfortable symptoms.

Methods: A convenience sampling method was used to survey nurses who travelled to Hainan for nucleic acid sampling in August 2022 using an online (WeChat) questionnaire. A total of 514 frontline nurses who performed nucleic acid tests completed the questionnaire.

Two new complete mitogenomes of the grapsids, Metaplax longipes Stimpson, 1858 and Nanosesarma minutum (De Man, 1887) were sequenced using next-generation sequencing (NGS). By analyzing a combination of 75 Brachyura taxa, our phylomitogenomic inferences suggested that Metaplax crab seperated earlier from the sesarmid crabs and closely related to the varunids with respect to Nanosesarma crab. The thin layered graphitic carbon nitride (-CN) was prepared by the thermal polymerization process with urea as the precursor. Four new complete mitochondrial genomes (mitogenomes) from the two superfamilies Ocypodoidea and Grapsoidea were sequenced, which represented Uca (Gelasimus) borealis (Ocypodidae: Ucinae), Dotilla wichmani (Dotillidae), Metopograpsus quadridentatus (Grapsidae: Grapsinae), and Gaetice depressus (Varunidae: Gaeticinae). All of the mitogenomes shared the complete set of 37 mitochondrial genes. Mitogenome lengths were 15,659, 15,600, 15,517, and 16,288 bp, respectively, with A + T contents of 69.

Temporal and spatial changes of macrobenthos community in the regions frequently occurring black water aggregation in Lake Taihu.

Seasonal survey was performed from August 2015 to May 2016 at 50 sampling sites in Lake Taihu to determine the spatial and temporal changes in macrobenthos community and their relationships with environmental variables. A total of 58 macrobenthos species were collected and identified, including 28 species of annelids, 17 species of molluscs, and 12 species of arthropods. [Community characteristics of crustacean zooplankton and its relationship with environmental factors in Suzhou Industrial Park, Jiangsu Province, China].

The monthly sampling data from June 2012 to May 2013 were used to study the composition and structure of the crustacean zooplankton community in the lakes and rivers of Suzhou Industrial Park. The variations in density and biomass of the crustacean zooplankton and their relationship with the environment factors were investigated. The results showed that a total of 42 species of crustacean zooplankton were found, including 24 species of cladocerans which belonged to 6 families and 12 genera, and 18 copepods which belonged to 7 families and 13 genera.
