Background: Previous studies have demonstrated the genetic basis of stroke and also revealed their genetic correlation with some cardiovascular related diseases or traits at the entire genome, which, however, would not give the answer which regions may mainly account for the genetic overlap. Following the concept of "waste into resources", a mild and controllable light grafting technique was used to immobilize pancreatic lipase (PPL) in situ on modified organic, chromium-free tanned leather scraps to catalyze the hydrolysis of waste oil. The experimental results showed that immobilized PPL significantly improved the catalytic activity, operational stability, reusability, and storage stability compared to free PPL. Furthermore, the study evaluated the environmental compatibility of the system through biological risk assessment of soil extracts after degradation, indicating that the system has good environmental compatibility.

This paper proposes an ArcFace SE-attention model-agnostic meta-learning approach (AS-MAML) by integrating attention mechanisms into residual networks for pedestrian gait recognition using frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) millimeter-wave radar through meta-learning. We enhance the feature extraction capability of the base network using channel attention mechanisms and integrate the additive angular margin loss function (ArcFace loss) into the inner loop of MAML to constrain inner loop optimization and improve radar discrimination.

Background: Patients with aldosterone-producing adenoma (APA) and cortisol-producing adenoma (CPA) show some similar clinical symptoms, and a large overlap of conventional imaging manifestations, which make the differentiation difficult. The purpose of our study was to explore the value of gemstone spectral imaging (GSI) dual-energy computed tomography (DECT) in differential diagnosis of APA and CPA, screen out meaningful energy spectral indicators and provide theoretical basis for the differential diagnosis of the two.
