Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) has emerged as a transformative tool for decoding plant development, particularly in elucidating xylem differentiation. By capturing transcriptomic changes at single-cell resolution, scRNA-seq enables reconstruction of developmental trajectories across diverse plant tissues. In this review, we summarize recent advances in the application of scRNA-seq to study both primary and secondary xylem development in monocots and eudicots.

Triptorelin, a gonadotropin-releasing hormone(GnRH) agonist, is approved by the US Food and Drug Administration(FDA) for treating advanced prostate cancer, endometriosis, and central precocious puberty(CPP) in children aged ≥ 2 years. This study aimed to characterize the real-world adverse event(AE) profile associated with triptorelin using data from the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System(FAERS). We conducted a retrospective pharmacovigilance study utilizing FAERS reports from the first quarter of 2004 to the third quarter of 2024 (2004Q1-2024Q3).

Straw return is one of the crucial practices available for enhancing soil organic carbon and nitrogen, biological activity, and nutrient availability. While the impact of straw return on soil organic carbon has been extensively studied, it remains unclear how soil organic carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) status contributes to straw decomposition in different climatic regions. We conducted a meta-analysis of 464 comparison data sets from 126 peer-reviewed publications to explore the decomposition characteristics of straw in different climatic regions of China.

Gut microbiota can modify bile acids (BAs), which is a group of metabolites that have been linked to tumorigenesis and progression. Here, we observed a significant deficiency in gut bacteria with bile salt hydrolase (BSH) activity in patients with liver metastatic CRC (CRLM).

However, limitations in infrared imaging mechanisms and the manufacturing processes typically prevent uncooled infrared detector arrays from exceeding a resolution of one megapixel. Consequently, designing an efficient infrared image Super-Resolution (SR) algorithm is of significant importance.

The Plastid-encoded RNA polymerase (PEP) complex is a multi-subunit machinery essential for chloroplast biogenesis and photosynthetic gene transcription. Its structural integrity and enzymatic activity rely critically on a suite of PEP-associated proteins (PAPs). Mutations in most PAP-encoding genes typically lead to severe albinism and developmental arrest in Arabidopsis thaliana.

Precise control of surface wettability and droplet dynamics is essential for the development of intelligent interfaces and fluidic devices. However, most existing systems suffer from limited wettability modulation, an irreversible response, or complex fabrication. Herein, we report an azobenzene inverse opal film capable of reversible wettability and adhesion switching under alternating UV/vis irradiation.

The morphology of the electrode materials seriously affect their structure and performances. The application of two-dimensional Ni(OH) nanomaterials in supercapacitors is hindered by their low conductivity and limited active sites. Herein, we synthesized Ni(OH)@NiS composites a two-step hydrothermal route.

Imaging revealed a large right-sided loculated pleural effusion. Electrocardiogram (ECG) demonstrated a spontaneous Type 1 Brugada pattern, absent in prior recordings.

Due to the low throughput and high cost of the most used respirometer, the Oroboros 2k (O2k), multiple experiments are often conducted within the same chamber in short succession. Despite this, no methodological consideration has been given for the potential contamination of inhibitors, used to investigate the contribution of specific complexes within the electron transport chain, between experiments.

Employing a comprehensive theoretical framework to identify the key determinants of SB is a critical step in developing targeted, evidence-based interventions. The purpose of this study was to explore the determinants of SB by using the Capability, Opportunity, Motivation - Behavior model.

CD31 (PECAM-1) plays a critical role in T cell migration, whilst its immunoreceptor tyrosine inhibitory motifs (ITIMs), Y663 and Y686, are recognised for their roles in endothelial function, the precise mechanism in regulating immune cell remains elusive. Here, we demonstrate that CD31 is essential for Treg migration. Upon ITIM engagement, CD31 activates and interacts with the protein tyrosine phosphatase SHP2.

Fluorodinitromethyl is a crucial substituent for energetic materials (EMs), known for its superior thermal stability compared to other polynitro groups. In this study, we incorporated the fluorodinitromethyl group into a tetrazole backbone to achieve a balance between stability and energetic performance. The compound 2-(dinitromethyl)-5-(fluorodinitromethyl)-2H-tetrazole and its corresponding energetic salts were designed, synthesized through optimized routes, and thoroughly characterized.

In this paper, we propose a one-dimensional polarization beam splitting grating under normal incidence with excellent polarization characteristics and a high diffraction efficiency. The main structure is a double-groove slanted grating. We employed a rigorous coupled-wave analysis and simulated annealing algorithm for numerical calculations of the grating.

The physical analytical equation is always a pursuit of designing a grating for applications. We presented analytical equations to describe the diffraction process of a deep-etched fused silica grating under the second Bragg incidence by using the simplified modal method, particularly in a special case where the effective refractive index of mode 1 might be equal to mode 2. We found that the joint effect of modes 1 and 2 has no effect on the diffraction efficiency for the 0th order and the -2nd order.

Objectives: Breast cancer is the second most common cancer worldwide, with metastasis leading to significant morbidity, mortality and healthcare costs. Bone metastasis remains particularly prevalent, estimated to appear in 70 % of cases. Therefore, accurate monitoring of treatment response in metastatic breast cancer is critical.

Previous studies, including our development of CRP centile reference charts for suspected bloodstream infections (BSI), suggest variability in CRP responses across infection types. Here we investigated the association between serial CRP percentile changes, antibiotic prescribing patterns, and patient outcomes in a large cohort with suspected infection, acknowledging that CRP is one of multiple factors in clinical decision-making.

The ongoing advancement of instrument acquisition technology and data analysis methods has resulted in an increasing amount of sample data requiring manual elucidation, significantly reducing the efficiency of forensic identification work and leading to issues such as missed detections and false positives. This study proposed a novel nontargeted screening strategy that is capable of automatically elucidating the NPS classes and chemical structures of unknown designer drugs.
