In recent years, patients with early endometrial cancer (EC) can achieve a good prognosis through surgery. However, advanced and recurrent cases have still posed significant therapeutic challenges. This study aimed to investigate the biological function of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in EC and elucidate its underlying molecular mechanism.

Our previous work has shown the overexpression of flotillin-1 (FLOT1) in OC tissue. To improve diagnostic sensitivity and accuracy, we evaluated the serum level of FLOT1 in OC patients and found that the serum concentration of FLOT1 as well as CA125 was significantly increased in patients with OC compared with healthy control (p < 0.

Although circular RNAs (circRNAs) are recognized for their pivotal roles in tumorigenesis, the specifics of their influence within the context of PCa have yet to be fully elucidated.
Methods: RT-qPCR was conducted to evaluate circAKT3 expression in PCa cells and in both tumor and adjacent noncancerous tissues.

Objective: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of the area reduction post-closure technique for bedside weaning of veno-arterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (V-A ECMO).
Methods: A retrospective study was conducted from December 2022 to November 2023, analyzing data from patients who underwent V-A ECMO weaning at our center. The area reduction post-closure technique, utilizing two ProGlide devices (Abbott Vascular, Santa Clara, CA), was adopted as a standard practice.

Gamma-interferon-induced lysosomal thiol reductase (GILT), known for catalyzing disulfide bond reduction, is involved in various physiological processes. While the involvement of GILT in the development of various tumors has been demonstrated, the mechanisms underlying its regulation in prostate cancer (PCa) are not fully understood. In the present study, we confirmed that GILT was significantly upregulated in PCa and facilitated tumor metastasis.

Purpose: To describe the downsizing post-closure technique for access hemostasis during emergency endovascular repair (EVAR) in ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysms (RAAA).
Materials And Methods: A cohort of eight patients underwent emergency EVAR through 16 femoral access sites for infrarenal RAAA. The downsizing post-closure technique, which involves a reduction in the size of the large-bore access by advancing a 10F sheath, was consistently applied.

Background: Skin squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is a prevalent malignancy, and dysregulated lipid metabolism has been implicated in its pathogenesis. However, detailed characterization of lipid alterations in SCC remains limited.
Methods: We analyzed lipid metabolic variations in tissue samples from 34 SCC patients and adjacent healthy tissues (located more than 1 cm from the tumor margin) using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS).

Background: Cervical cancer is the most prevalent malignant tumor in women. This study aims to detect collagen type V α1 chain (COL5A1) expression and its clinical relevance in the prognosis of patients with cervical cancer.
Methods: Cervical cancer tissues and their paired adjacent normal tissues were prepared for tissue microarray.
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility of a hybrid Glubran-supported single-Proglide technique for large bore femoral access closure during percutaneous access endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR).
Methods: A retrospective cohort study was performed for all percutaneous EVARs at our center from January 2023 to June 2023. All patients received the hybrid Glubran-supported single-Proglide technique involving a mixture of surgical glue and Lipiodol injection after single suture placement for femoral access closure.

Here we report a concise and divergent synthesis of scabrolide A and havellockate, representative members of polycyclic marine natural product furano(nor)cembranoids. The synthesis features a highly efficient -- radical cascade. Through the generation of two rings, three C-C bonds, and three contiguous stereocenters in one step, this remarkable transformation not only assembles the bowl-shaped, common 6-5-5 fused ring system from simple building blocks but also precisely installs the functionalities at desired positions and sets the stage for further divergent preparation of both target molecules.

Methods: We reviewed the consecutive data in our center from January 2022 to May 2023. Clinical data were analyzed retrospectively, including the baseline characteristics, procedural details, complications, and outcomes.
Background: Epidemiological research has demonstrated that there is a connection between lipid metabolism disorder and an increased risk of developing arteriosclerosis (AS) and abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA). However, the precise relationship between lipid metabolism, AS, and AAA is still not fully understood. The objective of this study was to examine the pathways and potential fatty acid metabolism-related genes (FRGs) that are shared between AS and AAA.

The current study focused on PNPO-regulated lysosome/autophagy-mediated cellular processes and the potential role of PNPO in chemoresistance. We found that PNPO was overexpressed in OC cells and was a prognostic factor in OC patients.
