Superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO) tracer is a potential option for sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB), though its application in melanoma remains minimally explored. This systematic review evaluated the use of SPIO tracer compared to the standard approach for SLNB in melanoma. SPIO demonstrated comparable efficacy and detection rate to the gold standard, with a sensitivity of 94%.

When cancer reaches the heart: a case series on rare myocardial and endocardial metastases from squamous cell carcinoma.

Cardiac metastases are rare but devastating complications of malignancies. Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), particularly from non-pulmonary origins, infrequently metastasizes to the heart, making its cardiac involvement an unusual and underreported phenomenon. Oromandibular Dyskinesia: Diagnostic Insights From 18 F-FDG PET/CT Imaging.

Oromandibular dyskinesia is an abnormal, repetitive, involuntary movement of the jaw, tongue, and lips. We report an interesting image of a 72-year-old woman, who underwent 18 F- FDG PET/CT for restaging of treated colon cancer. PET/CT scan shows diffuse uptake in orbicularis oris, muscles of the lips, muscles around the mandible and in the oral cavity, and anterior tongue muscles with no abnormality seen on corresponding CT images.

When Chest Pain Isn't What It Seems: A Case of Cardiac Lymphoma.

Primary cardiac lymphoma (PCL) is an exceedingly rare malignancy, often presenting with heart failure or arrhythmias. This case report describes a 61-year-old male with a history of diabetes, hypertension, and ischemic heart disease who presented with symptoms mimicking acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Despite significant stenosis in the left anterior descending artery (LAD), advanced imaging, including cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) and positron emission tomography (PET) scan, revealed a large infiltrative mass consistent with PCL.
