Introduction: Successful implant placement in the posterior mandible often requires augmentation of narrow ridges. This study aimed to compare the primary stability of dental implants placed using the conventional ridge split technique and the osseodensification method in narrow posterior mandibular ridges.
Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted involving 14 patients, with a total of 28 implants divided equally between two groups.

We present a two-step method for the direct estimation of the energy of individual non-covalent interactions (NCIs) such as hydrogen bond (HB), CH…π or π…π interactions in any given molecular crystal. The first step of this method is to calculate the energy of a NCI by a molecular tailoring approach based (MTA-based) method utilizing a sufficiently large molecular crystal structure. This calculation is performed at the low Hartree-Fock (HF) level.

Background: Current strategies to prevent adverse cardiovascular outcomes focus primary prevention in high-risk groups and secondary prevention in people with known cardiovascular disease. We aimed to determine the proportion of events occurring in lower-risk groups globally.
Methods: We included people aged 40 years to younger than 75 years who were enrolled in the Prospective Urban Rural Epidemiology (PURE) study, which is an ongoing, international, prospective, population-based cohort study that started recruiting adults from households selected to be broadly representative of the sociodemographic composition of their communities.

Actinomycetes were isolated from mangrove soil samples and cultivated on starch casein nitrate (SCN) medium. The isolate was identified as through 16S rRNA gene sequencing and phylogenetic analysis using MEGA X. Microscopic examination revealed filamentous mycelia with spirally coiled spore chains bearing cylindrical, hairy spores with curved edges, consistent with the genus morphology.

Poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) is a widely utilized biodegradable and biocompatible polymer in drug delivery systems, particularly for encapsulating drug molecules with poor solubility and permeability. PLGA nanoparticles, composed of polylactic acid (PLA) and polyglycolic acid (PGA), offer tunable properties such as controlled degradation rates and drug release kinetics. The PEGylation of PLGA nanoparticles results in the formation of a polyethylene glycol (PEG) corona on their surface, which enhances systemic circulation by reducing opsonization and immune system recognition.

Breast cancer has become the most common type of cancer worldwide. Chemotherapy is a prevalent and efficacious treatment for breast cancer; yet, it presents several problems that might impact both the treatment's effectiveness and the patient's quality of life. Certain breast cancer cells exhibit inherent resistance to chemotherapeutic agents from the outset.

Background: In organ-specific therapy, artificial intelligence (AI) is primarily used to improve surgical planning through image analysis, predict post-transplant outcomes, personalize treatment plans based on patient data, optimize organ allocation logistics, and donor-recipient precision mapping for organs to improve transplants. Furthermore, all these applications ultimately lead to better patient outcomes and enhanced organ therapy.
Objective: This review aims to examine the revolutionary effects of AI in some key healthcare fields, such as nanomedicine, cancer treatment, clinical applications, and organ-specific delivery.

Background: Data are mixed on whether indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence angiography can reduce the high rate of anastomotic leaks in patients undergoing surgery for rectal cancer. Therefore, we aimed to investigate the safety and efficacy of ICG fluorescence angiography in reducing the rate of clinical anastomotic leaks in these patients.
Methods: IntAct was an unblinded randomised controlled trial conducted at 28 specialist rectal cancer centres across eight European countries.

Chronic gynecological pain conditions, including dysmenorrhea, endometriosis, vulvodynia, and chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS), present significant challenges in women's health. These conditions result in significant physical discomfort and are closely associated with psychological comorbidities such as anxiety, depression, and increased central pain sensitization. Traditional pharmacological and surgical interventions often provide limited relief, as they fail to address the complex interplay between biological, neurological, and psychological factors underlying pain perception.

Tissue morphogenesis is a highly coordinated process necessary for correct morphology and function. The Hippo pathway plays a crucial role in regulating the size of organs, and mutation in this pathway can lead to the development of several diseases including tumor. Our study shows that transcriptional coactivator Yorkie, the downstream target of the Hippo pathway, plays a critical role in developing Malpighian tubules in Drosophila.

Aim: Maxillectomy patients frequently have speech impairments resulting from the loss of the oral-nasal partition. Prosthodontic rehabilitation with an obturator helps restore speech intelligibility, with its success largely dependent on accurate impression recording of maxillary defects. This investigation evaluated the effectiveness of conventional versus digital impression techniques in the context of speech analysis, specifically using Hindi vowels, in maxillectomy patients rehabilitated with obturators.

Cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) is synthesized from alpha-cellulose by acid hydrolysis method, and formation of nanocrystallization is comprised by using various microscopic and spectroscopic techniques like PXRD, XPS, Raman, FTIR, PL, UV-Vis, DSC, TGA, DLS, SEM, TEM. Nanocrystalline cellulose shows a notably higher photoluminescence (PL) intensity than cellulose, which enhances its ability to absorb and emit visible light. This increase in PL intensity is attributed to a smaller particle size of CNCs, greater surface area, and quantum confinement effects.

To improve solid-state lithium batteries, solution casting has been employed to create lithium ion-conducting copolymer electrolytes involving poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) (PVDF-HFP)/polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) blend polymers with various compositions. Following X-ray diffraction and Fourier transformation (FTIR), the structural characterisation and identification of molecular bonding in polymer electrolytes were confirmed. Through AC impedance analysis, the electrical characteristics of the solid-state polymer films were investigated.
