Rationale And Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the role of cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR)-derived left atrial (LA) strain parameters in evaluating early cardiac dysfunction in hypertensive patients and to assess their diagnostic utility for left ventricular diastolic dysfunction (LVDD).
Methods: A total of 150 hypertensive patients and 60 healthy controls were retrospectively enrolled, with all participants undergoing both echocardiographic and CMR examinations. Hypertensive patients were stratified by LVDD severity based on current guidelines.

Chronic diabetic wounds pose significant clinical challenges due to persistent inflammation, impaired neovascularization, and recurrent infections. This study is based on the natural three-dimensional porous structure and bioactive components of eggshell membranes (ESM), on which we assembled an in situ Cu@MOF, richly loaded with Cu and Zn, to create a multifunctional wound dressing (ESM@Cu-MOF). The characterization results demonstrated that the ESM@Cu-MOF exhibited excellent antibacterial performance and cell compatibility, with pH-responsive ion release characteristics.

Background: Low back pain (LBP) and sciatica are among the most prevalent musculoskeletal disorders, leading to significant disability and an economic burden. Neurotrophic factors, including nerve growth factor (NGF), brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), and glial cell-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF), play critical roles in pain modulation and neuronal function. Objectives: This study develops a machine learning model using dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) radiomics and clinical data to preoperatively differentiate hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC), and hepatic inflammatory pseudotumor (HIPT), addressing limitations of conventional diagnostics.
Materials And Methods: This retrospective study included 280 patients (HCC = 160, ICC = 80, HIPT = 40) who underwent DCE-MRI from 2008 to 2024 at three hospitals. Radiomics features and clinical data were extracted and analyzed using LASSO regression and machine learning algorithms (Logistic Regression, Random Forest, and Extreme Gradient Boosting), with class weighting (HCC:ICC:HIPT = 1:2:4) to address class imbalance.

Metabolomics reflects the body's metabolic state and holds substantial promise for identifying associated biomarkers and exploring pathological processes. This study used serum metabolomics to predict malignant brain edema (MBE) following endovascular therapy (EVT) for acute ischemic stroke (AIS) and investigate the underlying mechanisms. Background: Cardio-renal syndrome (CRS), characterized by multi-organ interaction, is frequently overlooked in clinical practice. It poses significant challenges in treatment, leading to poor long-term prognosis and substantial economic burden on patients' families. This study, based on a 10-year multi-center real-world investigation, identified that hyperhomocysteinemia and hypohemoglobinemia in myocardial infarction (MI) patients are associated with an increased risk of developing CRS.

Objective: This randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of (Dan Shen) in the management of primary hypertension.
Methods: From April 2023 to September 2024, 320 patients aged 30-75 years with diagnosed primary hypertension were enrolled at Ganzhou Hospital of Southern Medical University (Ganzhou People's Hospital). Patients were randomised to receive either intravenous (20 mL diluted in 200 mL of 5% glucose daily for 12 weeks) or a placebo with identical appearance and administration.
