Article Abstract

Helical nanographenes (NGs) play a crucial role in the development of chiral nanomaterials due to their distinctive optoelectronic and chiroptical properties. Herein, we report the efficient synthesis of two unprecedented azulene-embedded asymmetric triple helical NGs ( and ) with controllable helicene subunit lengths and π-extension. The crystallographic analysis confirms their highly twisted and asymmetric geometries. Both compounds exhibit narrow and tunable optical energy gaps (: 1.74 eV; : 1.63 eV), as determined by UV-vis absorption and cyclic voltammetry measurements. Moreover, the enantiomers of display pronounced chiroptical activity with a of up to 3.1 × 10.

Platelet Factor 4 (PF4), also known as CXCL4, is a CXC chemokine crucial for hemostasis, inflammation, and immune responses. Under physiological conditions PF4 assembles into asymmetric tetramers (31.2 kDa) that are dimers of dimers with highly flexible N-terminal regions.

Rapid strides in portable electronics and telecommunication technologies have sharply escalated the demand for high-performance electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials that effectively suppress secondary electromagnetic pollution while simultaneously integrating thermal management. Here an innovative, lightweight, hierarchical triple-layer aerogel structure comprising nickel (Ni) foam (NiF), titanium carbonitride (TiCNT) MXene, and poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA), fabricated via a facile, one-step bidirectional freeze-casting process is presented. This asymmetric aerogel architecture strategically employs an impedance-matching MXene/PVA top layer for optimized microwave entry, a NiF/MXene/PVA interlayer introducing magnetic loss and enhancing heat conduction, and a reflective, thermally foamed MXene bottom layer promoting internal reflection for superior energy absorption.

This study constructs a tripartite evolutionary game model involving healthcare data management authorities (DMAs), healthcare data operating departments (DODs), and data-related entities (DEs) within a triple principal-agent framework. We analyze dynamic interactions among these stakeholders in healthcare data governance, focusing on privacy security, moral hazard, and interest alignment. Results indicate that strategic instability arises under conditions of ambiguous data property rights and asymmetric risk responsibilities.

Hypoxia-Induced PRMT1 Lactylation Drives Vimentin Arginine Asymmetric Dimethylation in Tumor Metastasis.

Metastasis contributes to around 90% of cancer mortality, but effective strategies to disrupt metastatic cascades remain elusive. Hypoxia-driven epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) promotes cancer cell spread, yet the post-translational mechanisms governing cytoskeletal reprogramming here remain incompletely defined. This study reports a hypoxia-inducible post-translational modification cascade: under hypoxia, protein arginine methyltransferase 1 (PRMT1) is lactylated at evolutionarily conserved residues K134/K145, enhancing its methyltransferase activity to catalyze the asymmetric dimethylation (aDMA) of vimentin at R64.
