Efficient photocatalytic tumor therapy relies on deep tissue penetration via near-infrared (NIR) light absorption and potent oxidative stress induced by efficient photogenerated hole (h) migration. Herein, we report a supramolecular donor-acceptor (D-A) structure fabricated by integrating self-assembled tetra-(4-carboxyphenyl) porphyrin (SA-TCPP) with amino-functionalized graphene quantum dots (GQDs-NH). The D-A configuration significantly narrowed the band gap for extended NIR absorption and amplified the interfacial electric field 6.2 times. This facilitated efficient h migration with a 5.3-fold enhancement, generating highly oxidation holes. Under 700 nm irradiation, this system induced potent oxidative cell apoptosis, leading to 100% tumor elimination . This study presents a dual-promotion strategy involving NIR responsiveness and charge migration, advancing the efficiency of photocatalytic cancer therapy.

Phage display libraries of human single-chain variable fragments (scFv) serve as a valuable resource for generating fully human antibodies for scientific and clinical applications. In this study, we designed and constructed a highly diverse semi-synthetic humanized scFv phage display library using an optimized Kunkel mutagenesis approach. Our optimizations eliminated residual template, enhancing mutagenesis efficiency and expanding library diversity with a reservoir capacity exceeding 10.

Our research aims to ascertain the value of precursor and outgrowth lepidic in aiding the confirmation of multiple lung adenocarcinomas as separate primary lung cancers (SPLC). A total of 151 patients with metachronous multiple invasive adenocarcinomas were included in this study. Driver mutation tests(at least five genes: EGFR, ALK, KRAS, BRAF, and ROS1) were conducted on 302 tumors collected from 151 patients.

Background: Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women and a leading cause of mortality in Europe. Early detection through screening reduces mortality, yet participation in mammography-based programs remains suboptimal due to discomfort, radiation exposure, and accessibility issues. Thermography, particularly when driven by artificial intelligence (AI), is being explored as a noninvasive, radiation-free alternative.

This study aimed to evaluate mortality due to female breast cancer attributable to overweight and obesity and to estimate the number of preventable deaths with a reduction in the Body Mass Index in Brazil. An ecological study was carried out with investigation of information on overweight, obesity, sociodemographic characteristics based on a national survey carried out in 2013-14; breast cancer mortality rate in 2019 using the Online Atlas of Mortality and Relative Risk Meta-Analyses. The Potential Impact Fraction analysis was carried out, considering the following counterfactual scenarios related to the reduction in BMI: Scenario A - population contingent of women that make up the prevalence of overweight and obesity now composes the prevalence of eutrophy; Scenario B - population contingent of women that make up the prevalence of overweight starts to make up the prevalence of eutrophy; Scenario C - population contingent of women that make up the prevalence of obesity becomes part of the prevalence of overweight.

Interleukin-12 (IL-12) is a robust proinflammatory cytokine that activates immune cells, such as T cells and natural killer cells, to induce antitumor immunity. However, the clinical application of recombinant IL-12 has been limited by systemic immune-related adverse events (irAEs) and rapid degradation. To address these challenges, we employed mRNA technology to encode a tumor-activated IL-12 "lock" fusion protein that offers both therapeutic efficacy and systemic safety.
