The harmonization workshops of the leukemia committee of the Société française des cancers de l'enfant (SFCE) aim to establish practical recommendations based on the one hand, on data from the literature and international recommendations and, on the other hand, by consensus in the absence of formally proven data. Adolescent pubescent girls and young adults undergoing intensive chemotherapy treatment may present with heavy uterine bleeding (HUB). Data collected from 25 French centers showed that there was considerable heterogeneity in the management of HUB either in prophylaxis or curative strategy.

Tissue adhesives have emerged as a promising alternative to conventional sutures and staplers in the management of hemostasis, tissue defect sealing, and wound repair. However, the efficacy of current bio-adhesives in clinical practice is compromised by the limitations, including poor wet adhesion, inadequate mechanical strength, vulnerability to gastrointestinal fluids, and insufficient hemostatic performance. Herein, a marine organism-inspired tough and adhesive patch (MOTAP) was developed to address these challenges.

Background And Aims: The newly developed self-assembling peptide (SAP) is expected to exert hemostatic effects on the gastrointestinal tract and promote ulcer healing. However, its efficacy in preventing postprocedural hemorrhage following colorectal endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) remains uncertain. This study aimed to determine whether SAP could reduce hematochezia, including delayed bleeding (DB), and prevent its occurrence after colorectal ESD.

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Naoxintong, a Chinese patent medicine, may serve as an adjunctive therapy for the secondary prevention of ischemic stroke.
Aim Of The Study: To assess the effectiveness and safety of Naoxintong in preventing recurrent ischemic stroke and to review its preclinical evidence.
Materials And Methods: A search of electronic databases and registries was performed to locate relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on Naoxintong for preventing ischemic stroke recurrence and animal studies exploring its mechanisms in atherosclerosis improvement.
