Article Abstract

Glioma, the most common malignant tumor of the central nervous system, is regulated by long non-coding ribonucleic acids (lncRNAs). This study reported that linc01811 is expressed at low levels in gliomas and inhibits glioma tumorigenesis by regulating the miR-4635-nuclear transcription factor Y subunit beta (NF-YB) axis. MiR-4635 is identified as a direct target of linc01811 and can specifically target the 3' untranslated region of NF-YB and consequently downregulate its expression. As a transcription factor, NF-YB binds to the linc01811 promoter, thereby activating its expression. Overall, this study identified a tumor suppressor lncRNA that inhibits glioma progression via the miR-4635/NF-YB feedback loop, highlighting a potential axis for diagnostic and therapeutic targeting in glioma.

The dengue virus (DENV) poses a significant threat to human health, accounting for approximately 400 million infections each year. Its genome features a circular structure that facilitates replication through long-range RNA-RNA interactions, utilizing cyclization sequences located in the untranslated regions (UTRs). To gain new insights into the organization of the DENV genome, we purified the 5' and 3' UTRs of DENV in vitro and examined their structural and binding properties using various biophysical techniques combined with computational methods.

In oxaliplatin-resistant gastric cancer (GC), multi-omics profiling combined with organoid libraries reveals altered metabolic pathways associated with chemoresistance. We identify a novel lactylation modification at K115 of Poly(RC)-binding protein 2 (PCBP2K115la), which confers functional oxaliplatin resistance. Mechanistic studies demonstrate that the long non-coding RNA BASP1-AS1 assembles a complex containing Unc-51 Like Autophagy Activating Kinase 1 (ULK1) and lactate dehydrogenase A (LDHA), thereby activating LDHA enzymatic activity to increase lactate production.

Gastric cancer (GC) is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths globally. Enhancer of zeste homolog 2 (EZH2), a methyl-transferase and master transcriptional regulator frequently overexpresses in a variety of malignancies. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) play a significant role in regulating gene expression and are intricately involved in the EZH2 oncogenic regulatory network.
