Article Abstract

This study presents an innovative dual closed-loop DC control system for intelligent electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, designed to address the challenges of high power factor, low harmonic pollution, and high efficiency in EV charging applications. The research implements a three-level Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) rectifier with a diode-clamped topology and Insulated-Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBTs), achieving a power factor of 0.99, a total harmonic distortion (THD) of 1.12%, and an efficiency of 95% through rigorous simulation. These results surpass those of wireless charging technology and bidirectional DC-DC converters, demonstrating the system's superiority in key performance metrics. The dual closed-loop strategy, integrating a current inner loop and a voltage outer loop, ensures rapid response and high steady-state accuracy, with the PI regulator effectively managing phase coupling for balanced power flow. The voltage outer loop's stability is critical for the system's reliable operation. The study also discusses the challenges in the dynamic variation of midpoint source current and proposes future work to increase the system's switching frequency, improve anti-interference capabilities, and enhance the accuracy of the sampling process. Advanced computational intelligence and optimization techniques are highlighted as essential for tackling the complex challenges of modern EV charging systems. The study contributes to the development of efficient, secure technology for the next generation of wireless networks and power systems, providing a robust empirical basis for the proposed control strategies through MATLAB/Simulink simulations. This research sets a solid foundation for the performance assessment of EV charging systems, offering high-performance, environmentally friendly, and economically viable solutions for sustainable transportation.

In response to the challenges of nutrient limitations and low efficiency in synthesizing artificial humic acid (AHA) during the resource utilization of agricultural wastes, this study innovatively developed a process that integrates biogas slurry (BS) impregnation pretreatment with hydrothermal humification (HTH). Using steam-exploded corn straw (SES) as the raw material, the impregnation parameters were optimized (40 °C, liquid-to-solid ratio of 15:1, 18 h, 3 cycles), achieving an AHA yield of 40.61 %, which was over 15 % higher than that of the untreated group.

Chronic periodontitis, a frequent complication of diabetes, is exacerbated by bacterial biofilms that drive progressive periodontal tissue destruction and systemic inflammation. Conventional treatments, utilizing mechanical debridement and systemic antibiotics, often fail to eradicate bacterial biofilms, promote antibiotic resistance, and lack real-time monitoring, leading to suboptimal therapeutic outcomes. Herein, we report a separable bilayer microneedle (MN) patch that enables localized, antibiotic-free, biofilm-targeted therapy and in situ biomarker-based monitoring for the integrated management of chronic periodontitis.

The kynurenine (KYN) metabolic pathway sits at the crossroads of immunity, metabolism, and neurobiology, yet its clinical translation remains fragmented. Emerging spatial omics, wearable chronobiology, and synthetic microbiota studies reveal that tryptophan (Trp) metabolism is regulated by distinct cellular "checkpoints" along the gut-brain axis, finely modulated by sex differences, circadian rhythms, and microbiome composition. However, current interventions tackle single levers in isolation, leaving a key gap in the precision control of Trp's fate.

Achieving strong yet reversible adhesion via minimalist molecular design remains a critical challenge for next-generation supramolecular materials. Here, a dual-end modular adhesion strategy is presented based on a small organic molecule incorporating carboxylic acid and triphenylphosphonium terminals linked by a flexible alkyl spacer. This design enables synergistic noncovalent interactions-including hydrogen bonding, dipole-dipole interactions, and electrostatic forces-to construct a thermally reconfigurable supramolecular network.

This article investigates the state estimation and security control problem for discrete-time dual-rate cyber-physical systems (CPSs) under denial-of-service (DoS) attacks. The asynchrony predicament between different signals of dual-rate CPSs, exacerbated by the impact of cyber attacks on the sensor-to-controller channel, substantially increases the complexity of state estimation and control processes. Based on the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio and two-channel probability descriptions, an improved sample-and-hold (SAH) estimator is applied to dual-rate CPSs, ensuring favorable state estimates while enduring low-frequency sampling and DoS attacks.
