Innovative applications of clinical ocular diagnostic tools are emerging to help identify systemic disorders that extend beyond ocular diseases. Ophthalmodynamometry (ODM) is a screening tool that non-invasively determines mean central retinal artery pressure (MCRAP) and ocular perfusion pressure (OPP). Decreased OPP and MCRAP on Falck Medical Multifunctional Device (FMD, Falck Medical, Inc., Mystic, CT), along with reverse ophthalmic artery flow (ROAF) on transcranial Doppler ultrasonography (TCD), indicate increased collateral brain perfusion and possible stenosis of the ophthalmic artery or internal carotid artery (ICA). In this case report, we describe the case of a 78-year-old female with ROAF, reduced MCRAP, and OPP in the right eye, confirmed by carotid duplex of 50-79% right ICA stenosis. Early application of ODM and TCD allowed for prompt diagnosis and management with a vascular specialist.

Carotid-cavernous fistulas (CCF) are indirect or direct vascular shunts between vessels of the cavernous sinus and the carotid artery. While indirect CCFs have high rates of spontaneous resolution, direct CCF cases can result in significant orbital and neurological sequelae. This case describes a 75-year-old male patient presenting with acute subarachnoid hemorrhage secondary to a Barrow type-D CCF.

Objectives: To determine the discriminatory capacity of maternal ophthalmic artery (OA) Doppler parameters at 18-24 weeks of gestation for predicting pre-eclampsia (PE) in a south Indian population and to compare its predictive ability with known markers of pre-eclampsia like mean arterial pressure (MAP) and uterine artery pulsatility index (UtA-PI).
Methods: This was a single-center prospective observational study of normotensive pregnant women presenting for routine ultrasound screening between 18 and 24 weeks of gestation. OA and UtA Doppler were performed on all enrolled participants who were followed up for subsequent development of PE.

Purpose: To compare the long-term safety of MicroShunt implantation with trabeculectomy in eyes with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG).
Methods: This was a 3-year observational extension of a 2-year prospective randomized trial comparing clinical outcomes of MicroShunt implantation with trabeculectomy, both augmented with mitomycin C. Adverse events (AEs), intraocular pressure (IOP), and IOP-lowering medication use were recorded 36, 48, and 60 months after initial randomization.

Objective: To explore the predictive value of peak systolic velocity (PSV) ratio, PSV1 and PSV2 of ophthalmic artery Doppler in pregnant women for small for gestational age (SGA) infants and to construct a nomogram prediction model.
Methods: A total of 201 pregnant women who visited our hospital from March 2022 to June 2024 were selected as the research subjects, and their clinical data and ophthalmic artery Doppler parameters were collected. The data were randomly divided into a training set ( = 295) and a verification set ( = 126) in a 7:3 ratio.

Background: In maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients, vascular calcification can be detected not only in coronary vessels but also in ocular areas. However, ophthalmic examinations are not sufficiently validated to measure the degree of vascular calcification.
Methods: This study was performed prospectively, involving 32 MHD patients.
