Article Abstract

With the rapid development of white LEDs, the research of new and efficient white light emitting materials has attracted increasing attention. Zero dimensional (0D) organic-inorganic hybrid metal halide perovskites with superior luminescent property are promising candidates for LED application, due to their abundant and tailorable structure. Herein, [(CH)S]SnCl·HO is synthesized as a host for dopant ions Bi and Sb. The Sb doped, or Bi/Sb co-doped, [(CH)S]SnCl·HO has a tunable optical emission spectrum by means of varying dopant ratio and excitation wavelength. As a result, we can achieve single-phase materials suitable for emission ranging from cold white light to warm white light. The intrinsic mechanism is examined in this work, to clarify the dopant effect on the optical properties. The high stability of title crystalline material, against water, oxygen and heat, makes it promising for further application.

The International Council for Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use M10 guideline provides a global framework for bioanalytical method validation in studies intended for regulatory submission. While its structure ensures consistency and data reliability, the guideline also acknowledges that not all studies require the same level of validation. This paper examines where full compliance is essential and where scientific judgment allows for leaner, context-driven validation, such as in early-stage development, for additional matrices, metabolites, nonstandard biological matrices or studies intended for internal decision-making.

Influence of microplastic colour on photodegradation of sorbed contaminants.

Environ Sci Process Impacts

Microplastics are ubiquitous in the environment, accumulate hydrophobic organic contaminants, and suppress the photodegradative loss of these contaminants. Thus, they have the potential to act as vectors for contaminant uptake by organisms and transport to remote regions. Our current understanding of microplastic-sorbed contaminant photodegradation is drawn from experiments with unpigmented microplastics, but the interaction of pigments with light may alter the loss and corresponding persistence of sorbed contaminants.

Laying hens possess a calcium-specific appetite that intensifies towards lights out to meet the high demands for eggshell formation and skeletal maintenance. Pecking blocks (PBs) are edible enrichments that can serve as an additional calcium source. We explored the relationships between PB preference (PBp), PB use, keel fracture status (KS), and eggshell quality.

In this context, we evaluated the photodynamic effects of four cationic tetra-(pyridyl)porphyrins against Vaccinia virus Western Reserve (VACV WR) and Monkeypox virus (MPXV). The porphyrins were initially analyzed for cytotoxicity to Vero cells by MTT assay and the maximal non-cytotoxic concentrations were used in virucidal assays. For virucidal assays, VACV-WR (107.
