Aflatoxins (AFs) exhibit hepatotoxicity, immunotoxicity, and carcinogenicity, and their detection in food has attracted widespread concern. An ordered macroporous metal-organic framework (OM-ZIF-8) based on solid-phase extraction (SPE) was used to extract six AFs from milk products. The SPE conditions, including eluting solvent, eluting volume, amounts of OM-ZIF-8, pH of loading solution, loading solvent, ionic strength, loading flow rate, and elution flow rate, were exhaustively optimized. Under optimal parameters, the six AFs were detected by ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS). The OM-ZIF-8 exhibited satisfactory AFs extraction performance through ordered macropore structure, π-π interaction, coordination interaction, and electrostatic interaction. Furthermore, linearity in the range of 0.01-100 ng mL with low detection limits of 0.002-0.0150 ng mL was obtained, and the relative recoveries of AFs were 80.3-110 % with relative standard deviation ≤8.7 %. Thus, this research provides a promising platform for the analysis of trace AFs in complex foods.

Although photothermal reactions have gained extensive attention, their surface-localized naturewhere heat concentrates on nanoscale surfacesleads to suboptimal chemical reactivity. This study establishes an intrapore-confined thermal-field-driven reaction paradigm with unprecedented photothermal reactivity, through investigations of photothermal Congo Red (CR) pyrolysis in three-dimensional ordered macroporous carbon (OMC) versus nonmacroporous solid carbon (SC). Two model systems are constructed: (1) intrapore-confined configuration: fluorine-cerium nanodomains with ultrahigh CR adsorption capacity are anchored onto macroporous walls to achieve uniform CR distribution in OMC; (2) surface-localized pathway: CR is blended on the external surface of SC, decoupling intrapore confinement and surface localization mechanisms.

At present, AIDS remains a significant global health issue that requires ongoing attention. Although there is no practical cure for AIDS, hemoadsorption can effectively remove the virus from the blood and may serve as a promising treatment strategy. In this research, cellulose acetate/metal-organic framework composite beads (CA/MIL-125) with interconnected macropores were first fabricated using a one-step phase inversion method and then applied as a viral hemoadsorbent for the treatment of AIDS.

Platinum-group metals (Pt) commonly used in thermal catalytic processes often suffer from catalyst deactivation, such as Pt sintering, Pt overoxidation, and Pt loss under high-temperature conditions. To address these, we present a novel Pt/CeZrO catalyst, featuring isolated Pt single atoms (Pt) on a CeZrO support with an ordered macroporous (OM) structure. Firstly, Zr-stabilized dynamic low-coordinated Pt releases more free d-electrons by reducing Pt-O bond occupation, thereby preserving peroxide activity at high temperatures and enhancing propane C-H activation.

In this work, we utilized three-dimensional ordered macroporous (3DOM) SiO and non-noble metal oxides (CeO, CoO and MnO) to confine highly dispersed Pt species. The 3DOM Pt/MeO-SiO catalyst was used for the catalytic oxidation of benzene to evaluate its catalytic activity, long-term thermal stability, sulfur resistance, and water resistance. The results verified that the 3DOM Pt/CeO-SiO catalyst had superior activity ( = 210 °C) and strong sulfur resistance (10 ppm).

In order to innovatively develop high-activity ACE inhibitory peptides from edible fungi, the conditions for a double-enzymatic hydrolysis preparation of ACE inhibitory peptides from were optimized by response surface methodology. After purification by macroporous resin, gel chromatography, and RP-HPLC, a crude peptide fraction was obtained; its ACE inhibition rate was 85.73 ± 0.
