Ganoderma lucidum holds a colossal reservoir of hydrolytic enzymes and therapeutic compounds and can be a sustainable source of proteins and bioactive compounds. Its metabolic versatility, propelled by its rich genome content, provides excellent biosynthetic machinery for innovation-driven pathway engineering. However, robust regulatory networks and low frequency of homologous recombination are critical bottlenecks that limit the development of molecular tools and precise genetic markers for biomanufacturing innovations in this organism. Modern synthetic biology provides tools that could help to accelerate precise multiple gene targeting and editing and untangling the biosynthetic machinery of G. lucidum. This review provides insight into molecular strategies to unwind the regulatory bottlenecks and transform G. lucidum into efficient cell factories for food and nutraceuticals.

Unlabelled: Fungal degradation of cellulose facilitates the sustainable harnessing of biosphere energy and carbon cycling. is one of the basidiomycetes with the largest number of hydrolytic enzymes in its genome. The mycelium of degrades cellulose through the production of substantial amounts of cellulase, enabling the absorption of carbon sources and nutrients essential for fruiting body development.

The function of fermented and non fermented bamboo-derived feed additives in poultry nutrition is critically assessed in this review, with emphasis on the effects on growth performance, immunity, intestinal health, egg and meat quality. Fermented bamboo feeds have become a promising nutritional innovation in poultry production. The use of bamboo leaves and tender shoots in chicken feed is limited due to the presence of lignin and cellulose.

Endometrial cancer, a common malignancy of the female reproductive system, has a rising incidence and complex clinical management due to its diverse molecular subtypes. This review examines the molecular mechanisms underlying EC, particularly the roles of the Bcl-2 family in apoptosis regulation and estrogen receptor signaling in tumor progression. We explore pharmacological interventions targeting these pathways, including BH3 mimetics and selective estrogen receptor modulators, which show promise but face challenges such as resistance and adverse effects.

Ganoderma lucidum extract (GLE) has neuro-therapeutic and anticonvulsant effects. This study aimed to evaluate the potential neuroprotective and antioxidant effects of ethanolic extract on pentylenetetrazol-induced brain damage in male Wistar rats and to analyze behavioral manifestations in vivo. Seizure latency, duration, and severity were measured in PTZ-treated rats according to the Racine scale; thus, oxidative stress markers, malondialdehyde (MDA), nitric oxide (NO), and catalase catalytic activity were measured by the 2-thiobarbituric acid, Griess reagent, and hydrogen peroxide methods, respectively.
