Article Abstract

Cervical Cancer (CC) is one of the most common types of cancer in women worldwide, with a significant number of deaths reported yearly. Despite the various treatment options available, the high mortality rate associated with CC highlights the need to develop new and effective therapeutic agents. In this study, we have screened the complete prepared FDA library against the Mitotic kinesin-like protein 1, Cyclin B1, DNA polymerase, and MCM10-ID using three glide-based molecular docking algorithms: HTVS, SP and XP to produce a robust calculation. All four proteins are crucial proteins that actively participate in CC development, and inhibiting them together can be a game-changer step for multitargeted drug designing. Our multitargeted screening identified Sodium (Na) Danshensu, a natural FDA-approved phenolic compound of caffeic acid derivatives isolated from . The docking score ranges from -5.892 to -13.103 Kcal/mol, and the screening study was evaluated with the pharmacokinetics and interaction fingerprinting to identify the pattern of interactions that revealed that the compound has bound to the best site it can be fitted to where maximum bonds were created to make the complex stable. The molecular dynamics simulations for 100 ns were then extended to validate the stability of the protein-ligand complexes. The results provide insight into the repurposing, and Na-danshensu exhibited strong binding affinity and stable complex formation with the target proteins, indicating its potential as a multitargeted drug against CC.Communicated by Ramaswamy H. Myocardial infarction (MI) induces cardiomyocyte necrosis, inflammation, fibrosis, and ventricular remodeling, leading to heart failure. To address this, we developed an intelligent cardiac patch, SMM@Gel, composed of a reactive oxygen species (ROS)-responsive PVA-TSPBA hydrogel matrix reinforced via solvent exchange and salting-out technology, loaded with mannose-functionalized, danshensu sodium-loaded hollow mesoporous polydopamine nanoparticles (Sa@mPDA-Man). This design makes sustained drug release and ROS scavenging come true.

This study aims to investigate the molecular mechanism by which naringin alleviates cerebral ischemia/reperfusion(CI/R) injury through DRP1/LRRK2/MCU signaling axis. A total of 60 SD rats were randomly divided into the sham group, the model group, the sodium Danshensu group, and low-, medium-, and high-dose(50, 100, and 200 mg·kg~(-1)) naringin groups, with 10 rats in each group. Except for the sham group, a transient middle cerebral artery occlusion/reperfusion(tMCAO/R) model was established in SD rats using the suture method.

Background: Sodium of Danshensu (SDSS), extract of salvia miltiorrhiza root, has been shown to have neuroprotective effects on ischemic stroke (IS) in our previous studies. However, its therapeutic time window and mechanism of action remain unclear. Ferroptosis exerts a crucial feature in the development and progression of IS.

polysaccharide (BSP) is effective at healing wounds and has important application value in the research and development of biomedical materials. In this study, BSP, chitosan, and sodium β-glycerophosphate were used to generate a complex hydrogel with a very small pore size of 10-30 μm without the use of cross-linking agents. By improving the cross-linking density, the mechanical property defects caused by excessive BSP dissolution were overcome without affecting its physiological activity.

Cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury (CIRI) is a crucial process in the inflammatory response. Sodium danshensu (SDSS) is of protective effects in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases due to its anti-inflammatory properties. Studies have demonstrated that SDSS administration reduces infarct volume, attenuates neurological impairment, and inhibits microglia activation in rat models of CIRI.
