Article Abstract

The Annonaceae is one of the plant families with members that are credited with numerous pharmacological functions. Among the group of compounds responsible for these bioactivities are the -kaurane diterpenoids. The -kauranes are a group of 20-Carbon, tetracyclic diterpenoids that are widely distributed in other plant families including the Annonaceae family. This mini-review focuses mainly on the -kaurane diterpenoids isolated from the Annonaceae family, delineates the various biological activities of these compounds, and highlights the research gaps that exist for further scientific scrutiny.

GA participates in FR light-induced internode elongation of cucumber by regulating the expression of genes/proteins related to aquaporins, expansins, cell wall biosynthesis, hormone metabolism, and signal transduction. This study investigated the effects of the interaction between far-red (FR) light and gibberellin (GA) on the internode elongation of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L. 'Zhongnong No.

Knowledge of the germination ecology of weed species provides information about their potential aggressiveness and helps develop effective weed management strategies. Therefore, the influence of gibberellic acid (GA) and environmental factors (temperature, light, osmotic stress, salinity, cutting times, and seed burial depth) was evaluated on seed germination and seedling emergence of Urospermum picroides a winter annual weed. The results indicated that maximum seed germination was 94% and 83% when seeds were soaked for 12 and 24 h with 1000 and 800 ppm of GA, respectively.

Stevioside, a natural high-intensity sweetener, is widely employed across the food, pharmaceutical, and daily chemical industries due to its intense sweetness and health benefits. However, traditional extraction and purification processes for steviol glycosides from are plagued by low efficiency, high energy consumption, substantial environmental impact, and inconsistent product quality. This study systematically optimized the extraction, decolorization, decontamination, and desalting processes to overcome these challenges.
