A graphene/poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) closed cavity resonator with a resonant frequency at around 160 kHz has been fabricated. A six-layer graphene structure with a 450 nm PMMA laminated layer has been dry-transferred onto the closed cavity with an air gap of 105 μm. The resonator has been actuated in an atmosphere and at room temperature by mechanical, electrostatic and electro-thermal methods. The (1,1) mode has been observed to dominate the resonance, which suggests that the graphene/PMMA membrane has been perfectly clamped and seals the closed cavity. The degree of linearity of the membrane's displacement versus the actuation signal has been determined. The resonant frequency has been observed to be tuned to around 4% by applying an AC voltage through the membrane. The strain has been estimated to be around 0.08%. This research puts forward a graphene-based sensor design for acoustic sensing.

Unlabelled: There is a considerable interest in the association between and colorectal cancer (CRC). Recently, it was suggested that this association is valid only for a distinct clade of ( C2) and that strains belonging to another clade ( C1) are only associated with the oral cavity. It was further suggested that this made C1 a natural comparator when looking for candidate genes associated with the pathogenicity of C2.

The PR10 (Pathogenesis-Related Protein 10) family plays a crucial role in plant defense and growth regulation, with unique hydrophobic cavities that bind various ligands, including phytohormones and alkaloids. Among them, Norcoclaurine Synthases (NCS) are key enzymes in benzylisoquinoline alkaloid (BIAs) biosynthesis, catalyzing the Pictet-Spengler reaction to form the precursor (S)-norcoclaurine. However, the evolutionary origins and functions of the PR10 family in BIA biosynthesis remain unclear.

Objective: To evaluate the impact of CT planning on surgical myectomy outcomes in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and left ventricular outflow tract (LVOT) and/or mid-cavity obstruction, by comparing these outcomes with those of conventional surgical myectomy.
Methods: This prospective cohort study included patients who underwent surgical septal myectomy for HCM with LVOT and/or mid-cavity obstruction between January 2019 and May 2024 at a single tertiary center. In the CT-planned myectomy group, an expert radiologist simulated the target myectomy site through a series of post-processing methods to plan the surgical approach, provide a surgeon's view that closely resembles the actual perspective in the operating room, and present the target myectomy volume.

Introduction: Uterine fibroids are a common cause of infertility, and myomectomy remains a key surgical intervention to improve reproductive outcomes. However, the occurrence of an undetected pregnancy during myomectomy is rare and poses significant clinical risks.
Case Presentation: We report a 34-year-old woman, nulliparous with a history of secondary infertility and three first-trimester miscarriages.

Electrocatalytic CO reduction (eCOR) under acidic conditions is the game changer of resourceful CO utilization owing to the alleviated carbon loss but faces severe competition from the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) that greatly curtails the electric current efficiency. Leveraging the eCOR side of the teeterboard calls for a fundamental understanding of the triphasic electrode process involving a complex arrangement of electric double layers (EDLs). Herein, a series of model catalysts with tailored cavernous parameters are fabricated to geometrically and spectroscopically decipher the competing HER and eCOR processes that engage different proton sources.
