Article Abstract

Constructing artificial domino nanoarchitectures, especially dynamic DNA circuits associated with the actuation of biological functions inside live cells, represents a versatile and powerful strategy to regulate the behaviors and fate of various living entities. However, the stepwise operation of conventional DNA circuits always relies on freely diffusing reactants, which substantially slows down their operation rate and efficiency. Herein, a self-adaptive localized catalytic circuit (LCC) is developed to execute the self-sustained bioorthogonal assembly of DNA nanosponges within a crowded intracellular environment. The LCC-generated DNA scaffolds are utilized as versatile templates for realizing the proximity confinement of LCC reactants. Single-molecule-detecting fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) is used to explore the reaction acceleration of the catalytic circuit. This self-adaptive DNA circuit facilitates the bioorthogonal assembly of highly branched DNA networks for robust and accurate monitoring of miRNA targets. Based on its intriguing and modular design, the LCC system provides a pivotal molecular toolbox for future applications in early disease diagnosis.

Unlike conventional synapses in neural networks relying on bipolar spike-driven modulation, biological synapses in the peripheral nervous system handle unipolar input based on stimulus intensity, generating excitatory or inhibitory signals. Here, we demonstrate a unipolar-driven synaptic transistor (UDST) that exhibits both responses under a single-polarity voltage. The unipolar property is achieved within a single device through a bilayer gate dielectric, comprising a high-k charge trapping layer (k > 6) and an ultrathin charge tunneling layer (<5 nm), which synergistically facilitate dipole polarization and charge trapping.

Leveraging inherent nonlinear dynamics, memristors have demonstrated superior performance in reservoir computing (RC). However, the use of different materials for reservoir nodes and readout layers poses significant challenges to integration. Moreover, the reported RC systems generally employ fixed reservoir nodes with limited temporal dynamics, which severely restricts the processing of sequences with complex temporal features in practical applications.

Mercury telluride (HgTe) nanocrystals (NCs) offer adjustable absorption and solution-processable fabrication, making them promising materials for low-cost, high-resolution imaging across a wide infrared (IR) spectrum. However, photodetectors based on HgTe NCs often suffer from high dark current, elevated noise arising from trap states and interface defects, and limited structural tunability, which constrain their sensitivity, dynamic range, and applicability in intelligent vision applications. Here, it is reported a dual-gate carbon nanotubes (CNTs) field-effect transistor incorporating an HgTe NC-based PIN heterojunction as the top gate, which converts incident IR light into a photovoltage that functions as a dynamic optical gate, while an independently addressable local bottom gate adjusts the carrier concentration in the CNT channel.

Optimizing weak grid integrated wind energy systems using ANFIS-SRF controlled DSTATCOM.

This paper proposes an intelligent control strategy based on the adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) to enhance power quality in wind energy systems connected to weak grids. Weak grids, characterized by high impedance and low short-circuit ratios, suffer from voltage fluctuations, harmonic distortions, and reactive power imbalances when integrating wind energy. Conventional control methods, such as proportional-integral and fuzzy logic controllers, lack real-time adaptability, limiting their effectiveness in weak grid scenarios.

With the rapid development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology, sensors have become the most important nodes for information exchange in the IoT. However, ensuring stable power supply and network communication of a plethora of distributed sensing nodes has become the key technical bottleneck that restricts the development of marine IoT. Herein, a self-adaptive gyroscope-structured hybrid triboelectric-electromagnetic nanogenerator (SAG-HTENG) is designed for omnidirectional wave energy harvesting.
